"Special Kinda Love" is a single by The Jets, released on August 19, 1990. Written by Vassal Benford. It was released as a single from their greatest hits album, The Best of The Jets on the MCA label, the song was not nearly as successful as some other recordings by the group. It only reached number 83 on the R&B chart, but had some success on the dance chart, peaking at number 8.

Anthony Hamilton (born August 26, 1985 in Redlands, California) is an American soccer player.

Career

College and amateur

Hamilton played college soccer for University of California, Irvine, featuring in 70 games during his four seasons, amassing 23 goals and 7 assists. During his college years he also played for Orange County Blue Star in the USL Premier Development League. Hamilton earned his bachelor's degree in 2010 from the University of California, Irvine in Literary Journalism.

Professional

Hamilton participated in Chivas USA's player combine in December 2006 at the Home Depot Center prior to being drafted by them with the 31st overall pick of the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft.

He was released by Chivas in February 2009, having played just 7 games for the team, and subsequently signed for Ventura County Fusion of the USL Premier Development League for the 2009 season.

Hamilton signed with Rochester Rhinos on February 16, 2010. After two seasons with Rochester, Hamilton signed with NSC Minnesota Stars of the North American Soccer League on September 6, 2011.

In December 1995, at the age of ten, he approached McLaren team principal Ron Dennis at the Autosport Awards ceremony and told him, "I want to race for you one day ... I want to race for McLaren." Less than three years later McLaren and Mercedes-Benz signed him to their Young Driver Support Programme. After winning the British Formula Renault, Formula Three Euroseries, and GP2 championships on his way up the racing career ladder, he drove for McLaren in 2007, making his Formula One debut 12 years after his initial encounter with Dennis. Hamilton's contract for the McLaren driver development program made him the youngest ever driver to secure a contract which later resulted in a Formula One drive.

Coming from a mixed background, with a black father and white mother, Hamilton is often labelled "the first black driver in Formula One", although Willy T. Ribbs tested a Formula One car in 1986.
