Sour El-Ghozlane (or Souk El Ghoziane) is a town and commune in Algeria's central-northern, just-landlocked Bouïra Province.
According to the 1998 census it has a population of 42,179.
History
It is the location of the Roman city Auzia, in the province Mauretania Caesariensis. The name Auzia is still used as a Roman Catholic titular bishopric. During France's colonization of Algeria until the Algerian independence, the city was known as Aumale and it was the seat of the prefecture of Aumale département.
