Somo is a town in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 121 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Clifford and Tripoli are located partially in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.4 square miles (94.2 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 121 people, 57 households, and 38 families residing in the town. The population density was 3.3 people per square mile (1.3/km²). There were 85 housing units at an average density of 2.3 per square mile (0.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.
There were 57 households out of which 15.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.2% were married couples living together, 3.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. 28.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.12 and the average family size was 2.61.
SoMo (born Joseph Anthony Somers-Morales; September 11, 1987) is an American singer and songwriter from Denison, Texas. He began his professional music career in 2011, gaining fame on YouTube with the release of original music and popular cover songs from singers such as Chris Brown, The Weeknd, and Drake. In 2013, he signed a record deal with Republic Records, and released remastered versions of his 2012 mixtape My Life and debut single "Ride". His self-titled debut album SoMo was released on April 8, 2014.
Early in life, SoMo sang at popular clubs in Austin, Texas with his father. His father was in a jazz rock band called Duck Soup, and as a young child SoMo says his father was not always there for him due to music. Throughout high school he distanced himself from music; however, in 2008, he received a piano from his mother for Christmas and taught himself to play by ear. His stage name "SoMo" is a contraction of his hyphenated last name, Somers-Morales. That's why the M is capitalized. SoMo is ethnically Hispanic, with a mother of Caucasian descent and a Hispanic father.
