Oak

An oak is a tree or shrub in the genus Quercus (/ˈkwɜːrkəs/;Latin "oak tree") of the beech family, Fagaceae. There are approximately 600 extant species of oaks. The common name "oak" may also appear in the names of species in related genera, notably Lithocarpus. The genus is native to the Northern Hemisphere, and includes deciduous and evergreen species extending from cool temperate to tropical latitudes in the Americas, Asia, Europe, and North Africa. North America contains the largest number of oak species, with approximately 90 occurring in the United States. Mexico has 160 species, of which 109 are endemic. The second greatest center of oak diversity is China, which contains approximately 100 species.

Oaks have spirally arranged leaves, with lobate margins in many species; some have serrated leaves or entire leaves with smooth margins. Many deciduous species are marcescent, not dropping dead leaves until spring. In spring, a single oak tree produces both male flowers (in the form of catkins) and small female flowers. The fruit is a nut called an acorn, borne in a cup-like structure known as a cupule; each acorn contains one seed (rarely two or three) and takes 6–18 months to mature, depending on species. The live oaks are distinguished for being evergreen, but are not actually a distinct group and instead are dispersed across the genus.

Oak is an RTD light rail station in Lakewood, Colorado, United States. The station is part of the new W Line which was built as part of the FasTracks expansion. It opened in April, 2013 and is operated by the Regional Transportation District.

Oak (flavoured milk)

The OAK brand first emerged in 1903 in Newcastle, NSW. It was known as the Hunter Valley milk brand and made its name as a flavoured milk brand in 1967. The brand was launched into Queensland, South Australia and Victoria in 1998 - deleted in Victoria by 2007 and relaunched in 2010. Oak now uses skim milk instead of full cream in products.

Nutrition

The nutritional values vary by flavour, however Chocolate, Strawberry, Banana, Vanilla Malt, Iced Coffee are similar. The Oak MAX and Light Chocolate contain approximately 25% fewer calories and approximately half the fat of Chocolate milk. The OAK brand is now owned by Parmalat - a multinational Italian dairy and food corporation. Parmalat acquired the OAK brand from Dairy Farmers in July 2009 – six months after Dairy Farmers was bought by National Foods.

Sodom (band)

Sodom is a German thrash metal band from Gelsenkirchen, formed in 1981. Along with Kreator, Destruction and Tankard, Sodom is considered one of the "The Big Teutonic Four" of Teutonic thrash metal. While three of those bands (except Tankard) created a sound that would influence death metal and black metal, Sodom's early music style would greatly influence many late-1980s and early-1990s black metal bands more than others.

To date, Sodom has released fourteen studio albums, three live albums, two compilation albums and six EPs. They achieved their first commercial success with their third studio album Agent Orange (1989), which was the first thrash metal album to enter the German album charts, where it reached number 36. Sodom remains one of the best-selling thrash metal acts of all time, having sold over one million records.

Sodom (album)

Sodom is the eleventh album by German thrash metal band Sodom, released on April 21, 2006. The first pressing was in a slipcase and includes a full-colour poster of the artwork. "The album is self-titled," Tom Angelripper explains, "because every band needs a self-titled album."

EX series

The characters below are not canonical to the Street Fighter storyline. Arika, not Capcom, owns the characters and the copyright to them, and Capcom has acknowledged a difficulty in having them appear in future games. Producer Yoshinori Ono originally said that the possibility of them appearing in future titles had not been ruled out, stating that Capcom still has a good relationship with Arika, however he has since amended his stance stating that the chances of the characters coming back are very small.
