Scott Sturgis is a Seattle, USA-based music producer, best known for his power noise/rhythmic noise project Converter. The harsh and distorted sounds of Converter were influenced by noise music and artists featured on the Ant-Zen record label. He has since released material on both Ant-Zen and its imprint label Hymen Records.
Sturgis was involved with electro-industrial band Pain Station when he began work on Converter as a side-project in March 1998. Sturgis has since been quoted as saying "Both projects are pretty equal in my eyes and neither one takes precedence over the other right now. Of course, if you ask me which project is more fun to work on, I'd tell you it's Converter." Up until Exit Ritual (made on a Roland MC-909), Sturgis used only an Ensoniq ASR-10 keyboard/sampler to produce music. Sturgis has also worked under the aliases DBS, Notime, and Lowness.
"Smoke" is a song by Australian-born pop rock singer-songwriter, Natalie Imbruglia. It was released on 11 October 1998 as the fourth and final single from her debut album Left of the Middle. The single reached No. 5 on the UK Singles Chart, but failed to enter the top 40 on the Australian Singles Chart, peaking at No. 42. The video for "Smoke" was directed by Matthew Rolston. There are two versions of the video; one of which contains additional visual effects including Imbruglia's face appearing and disappearing within animated smoke.
The first Sabre was a former knife thrower named Paul Richarde until he was selected by Modred to oppose Black Knight. Paul Richarde was given an armor, an animated gargoyle. and Mordred's Ebony Dagger (the weapon with which Mordred had killed the first Black Knight). He was defeated by Black Knight after his horse Aragorn kicked the dagger from Le Sabre's hand.
The second Sabre is a mutant super villain. His first appearance was in X-Men #106. Young and reckless, Sabre was chosen by Mystique to join her new Brotherhood of Mutants, though never actually participated in any missions. He had the mutant ability of super speed, and took the name of the deceased Super Sabre. It is unknown if he continues to serve Mystique behind the scenes, or if he even retains his powers after Decimation. Hyper-accelerated metabolism augments his natural speed, reflexes, coordination, endurance, and the healing properties of his body.
