Wang Lei is the name of:
Wang Lei (Chinese: 王磊; pinyin: Wáng Lěi; born December 26, 1977 in Daxing'anling, Heilongjiang) is a Chinese professional Go player.
Lei started to learn Go a little late in Eastern terms, at the age of 9. Lei became a pro in 1989 when he was just 12 years old. He has risen up the ranks and currently sits at 8 dan. He is a disciple of Nie Weiping.
Wang Lei (died 211) was a minister serving under the warlord Liu Zhang during the late Han Dynasty period of Chinese history. Wang Lei became known amongst all the servants of Liu Zhang because he hanged himself upside-down from the castle wall to warn Liu Zhang against the welcoming of Liu Bei. When Wang Lei's warnings went unheeded by Liu Zhang, he cut the rope and fell to his death.
