Ira!

Ira! (Portuguese for Anger or Rage) is a Brazilian rock band that was founded in São Paulo in the early 1980s. They were strongly influenced by the Mod sound of The Who, the hard rock of Led Zeppelin and the punk rock of The Clash.

History

Early Years

Led by singer Nasi and guitarist Edgard Scandurra, with Ricardo Gaspa on bass and André Jung on drums, Ira! was at the height of their success in the mid-to-late 1980s. Songs like "Núcleo Base", "Flores em Você" and "Envelheço na Cidade" were huge hits when first released and still enjoy considerable airplay in radio stations throughout Brazil. The band had a decline in productivity and popularity during the 1990s, but regained popularity after playing before an audience of over 250,000 at the third edition of the Rock in Rio festival in 2001 and doing an acoustic special for MTV Brasil in 2004.

2007: Internal Conflicts and Split

In September 2007, just before the band were due to have a break, Nasi departed from the band after a conflict with Airton Valadão Rodolfo, who was the band manager and also Nasi's brother.

    Skyfire (band)

Skyfire is a melodic death metal band from Höör, Sweden.

    Biography

Skyfire was formed in the town of Höör, Sweden in 1995 by Andreas Edlund (guitar), Martin Hanner (bass guitar), Jonas Sjögren (guitar) and Tobias Björk (drums). The four were friends since high school and had similar tastes in music. The band recorded two demos: Within Reach and The Final Story. On the second demo, the vocals were performed by Henrik Wenngren. Skyfire got in touch with band members of Thyrfing who helped them find a record label with Dutch label Hammerheart Records. During two weeks in August 2000, Skyfire recorded their debut album Timeless Departure in the Abyss Studio.

In September 2002, the band recorded their second album Mind Revolution, again in the Abyss Studio with new drummer Joakim Jonsson. Mind Revolution was released in 2003 and showed the band's style evolving and branching off into different musical genres. The third album Spectral was recorded at Los Angered and Studio Underground and released on May 10, 2004, by Arise Records.

    Jetfire

Jetfire is the name of several fictional characters from the Transformers franchise. He is almost always depicted as an Autobot with jet or space shuttle alternate mode.

    Transformers: Generation 1

In the many stories of Jetfire (who was referred to as Skyfire in the TV series, known in Italy as "Aquila", Eagle) told through the numerous Generation 1 continuities, there is one constant aspect — an early affiliation with the Decepticons, which has served only to convince him to side with the Autobots. Jetfire's dedication to the Autobot cause is matched only by his devotion to scientific and technological advancement — this, he believes, is the only way in which victory over the Decepticons can be achieved. It is this overriding belief that tempers his bravado in battle, but nevertheless, he is often one of the most eager Autobots to plunge into combat, and his position as one of the fastest usually means he is the first to do so. Jetfire is created from the same mold as the VF-1S Super Valkyrie from the Macross series (see Toys), including the VF-1S's gunpod, which is described as a laser on Jetfire's technical specifications.

    Skyfire (company)

Skyfire is a software company founded in 2007, and acquired by Opera Software in 2013. In 2015, the company became the Network Solutions division of Opera, and ceased using the Skyfire brand name. They offer network optimization technologies including video optimization and monetization tools for carriers. Skyfire discontinued its Skyfire Web Browser in 2014 in order to consolidate its focus on its mobile operator technology. Skyfire was funded by venture capital, and was acquired by Opera Software in March 2013.

    History

Skyfire was found in 2007 by Nitin Bhandari and Erik Swenson. The company was originally named DVC Labs but changed their name in 2008.

Skyfire received initial funding of $4.8 million from Matrix Partners and Trinity Ventures in June 2007. Skyfire increased their funding in 2008 with an additional $13 million investment from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix and Trinity. As part of the investment, a Lightspeed Ventures partner joined the board of directors. In January 2012, they received $8 million from Verizon Investments LLC, Matrix, Trinity, and Lightspeed. In 2010, Skyfire purchased Kolbysoft, which allowed them to extend their web browser for the Android marketplace with Kolby’s Steel Web Browser. In October 2012, SkyFire raised $10 million in series D financing from Panorama Capital, which is a venture capital firm that spun out from JP Morgan Chase in 2006.

    Sex Rules

    by: Sky Ferreira

    We are animals
    No matter what we deny
    Our bodies strong like magnets
    In the darkening sky
It's a complicated blend of tenderness and aggression
    Whatever gets you off
    Whatever your obsession
    Sex rules
    Use your god-given tools
    Sex rules
    I pity the fools
    Who realize too late
Love, sex, and god are great
    Oh-oh oh-oh
    Sex rules
I want you to love me
    Baby to love me right
But I'm kinda shy at telling you
To tell you what I like
It's a complicated blend of tenderness and aggression
    That's what gets me off
    That is my obsession
    Sex rules
    Use your god-given tools
    Sex rules
    I pity the fools
    Who realize too late
Love, sex, and god are great
    Oh-oh oh-oh
    Sex rules
Why do we like what like?
Why do we crave what we crave?
Why do some need to be masters?
Why do some need to be slaves?
    Sex rules
    Use your god-given tools
    Sex rules
    I pity the fools
    Who realize too late
Love, sex, and god are great
    Oh-oh oh-oh
