Skellefteå Kraft Arena is an indoor sporting arena located in Skellefteå, Sweden. The capacity of the arena is 6,001 and it was built in 1966. It is the home arena of the SHL's Skellefteå AIK as well as Division 1's SK Lejon. The arena is named after Skellefteå Kraft, a Swedish power company.
At late summer 2005 did Skellefteå Kraft Arena turn into a worksite since the decision was made to renovate the arena. At the start of the 2007/2008 season the renovation was almost finished and the seats had been increased from the previous figure of 5,200 to 6,001. The renovation is cost estimated to 140 MSEK and will transform Skellefteå Kraft Arena from a typical Swedish indoor ice hockey venue to a modern ice hockey and event arena.

Skellefteå Kraft is a municipality-owned power company in Sweden. The company was established in 1908. It operates in Skellefteå, Lycksele, Storuman and Sundsvall in Sweden, and in Jakobstad in Finland. The company owns a number of hydroelectric power stations as also stakes in the Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant and Alholmens Kraft Power Station. In cooperation with Fortum, the company develops the Blaiken wind farm.
The company also operates several regional and local power distribution networks and owns a wood pellets production plant. Together with the technology company Outotec it has established a bio energy power plants technology company GreenExergy AB.
Skellefteå is a city and the seat of Skellefteå Municipality in Västerbotten County, Sweden, with 32,775 inhabitants in 2010. The municipality had approximately 72,000 inhabitants at the end of 2013 .
The city is a historically industrial city with mining being a large industry, especially for gold – hence the nickname "Gold Town". Politically it is a Social Democratic stronghold. The city is a well-known ice hockey town, with the biggest team Skellefteå AIK playing in the Swedish top division, the SHL.
The city was incorporated in 1845 and grew to its current population size mostly in the 1950s and 60s, growing only slowly since.
The name Skellefteå is recorded to having been spelled as Skelepht in 1327. The origin of the name remains unknown.
From the 14th century on, attempts were made to Christianize Skellefteå. However, – for the most part – the entire large Northern Swedish territory of Norrland was not Christianized until several hundred years after the rest of Sweden, and many northern areas such as Skellefteå remained unexplored well past the Middle Ages.
Skellefteå is an album by Swedish band The Wannadies, named after the band's home town Skellefteå in northern Sweden.
A compilation of the best of their releases for MNW Records/Soap, the album also features the previously unreleased track, "Easier To Sing", and was released in 1998.
