John Cullum
John Cullum (born March 2, 1930) is an American actor and singer. He has appeared in many stage musicals and dramas, including On the Twentieth Century (1978) and Shenandoah (1975), winning the Tony Awards for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for each. He earned his first Tony nomination as lead actor in a musical in 1966 for On a Clear Day You Can See Forever in which he introduced the title song, and more recently received Tony nominations for Urinetown The Musical (2002) (best actor in a musical) and as best featured actor in a musical the revival of 110 in the Shade (2007).
He portrayed tavern owner Holling Vincoeur on the television drama series Northern Exposure (6 seasons), earning an Emmy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actor in a Drama. He was featured in fifteen episodes of the NBC television series ER as Mark Greene's father. He was the farmer in the landmark television drama The Day After. He has made multiple guest appearances on Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as attorney, now judge, Barry Moredock, and appeared as Big Mike in several episodes of The Middle.

Sir John Cullum, 6th Baronet (1733–1785) was an English clergyman and antiquary.
Life
The eldest son of Sir John Cullum, 5th Baronet, of Hawsted and Hardwick, Suffolk, by Susanna, daughter and coheiress of Sir Thomas Gery, he was born at Hawsted 21 June 1733, and baptised in the chapel at Hawsted Place on 19 July. He was educated at King Edward VI's School, Bury St. Edmunds. He went to Catharine Hall, Cambridge, and in January 1756 was fourth junior optime in the Mathematical Tripos; his classics, however, were stronger, and in 1758 he obtained the member's prize for the best dissertation in Latin prose. He was elected Fellow of his college, and was only just defeated in an election for the mastership.
In April 1762 he was presented by his father to the rectory of Hawsted, and in December 1774 he was instituted to the vicarage of Great Thurlow, also Suffolk. In 1774 also, he succeeded his father as sixth baronet.
Cullum was a scholar, antiquary and student of natural science. In March 1774 he was elected a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London, and in March 1775 a Fellow of the Royal Society. Cullum died of consumption on 9 October 1785, and was buried at Hawsted.

Eating intestines to keep ourselves alive.
Thirteen days starving to Death since they bombed this place.
All the roads blocked the forest stocked full of mines.
No, there is no escape!
Half the village died, animals fled.
Plague lurking like a ticking time bomb.
The stench of death.
I won't regret, doctor! Use your craft!
Now amputate my hand so I can eat!
I can eat...
Forced beyond sanity they kept themselves alive. Lost all their dignity.
Forceps, Clamps. Pull him to the ground.

More of them died, putrefied, but the surgeon lived on.
Fed on their organs, limbs, a blood hunger never satisfied.
Soon he realized his raid of Death had come to an end.
No living soul left, for his hunger driven theft. Killed them all!

Twenty days almost starved to Death in this forsaken place.
Found by soldiers who brought him back, he was safe.
Comatose, little did he know what horrors slowly crawled upon him once he

"We are losing him!" Heart fails.

This blood hunger grown to be a part of him.
Never satisfied, in his last moment realized,
