SimCity 4

SimCity 4 (SC4) is a city-building/urban planning simulation computer game developed by Maxis, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts. It was released on January 14, 2003. It is the fourth major installment in the SimCity series. SimCity 4 has a single expansion pack called Rush Hour which adds features to the game. SimCity 4: Deluxe Edition contained the original game and Rush Hour combined as a single product.

The game allows players to create a region of land by terraforming, and then to design and build a settlement which can grow into a city. Players can zone different areas of land as commercial, industrial, or residential development, as well as build and maintain public services, transport and utilities. For the success of a city, players must manage its finances, environment, and quality of life for its residents. SimCity 4 introduces night and day cycles and other special effects for the first time in the SimCity series. External tools such as the Building Architect Tool (BAT) allow custom third-party buildings and content to be added to the gameplay.

SimCity is an open-ended city-building computer and console video game series originally designed by developer Will Wright. It is published by Maxis (now a division of Electronic Arts). The game was first published in 1989 as SimCity, and it has spawned several different editions sold worldwide. The ongoing success of SimCity has also sparked the release of many other spin-off "Sim" titles, including 2000's The Sims, one of the best-selling computer games

In SimCity, the player is given the task of founding and developing a city, while maintaining the happiness of the citizens and keeping a stable budget. In SimCity 2000, SimCity 3000 and SimCity 4, the player is allowed to alter the terrain of the city before building on it.

The player must define development zones, each having limits on the kind of development that can occur there. Development of the zones is not performed directly by the player, but happens when certain conditions are met, such as power supply, adequate transport links or acceptable tax level. The residential zones, in green, provide housing for Sims; the commercial zones, in blue, provide shops and offices; and the industrial zones, in yellow, provide factories, laboratories and farms. There are three different densities in the game: low density for small buildings, medium density for low to mid-sized buildings, and high density for anything up to large tower blocks.

Sim City (album)

Sim City is the fifth solo album by Susumu Hirasawa. Inspiration came from Hirasawa's visits to Thailand, where he developed a strong interest in the country's transsexuals. The album's name refers to its story, in which a futuristic Thailand is portrayed as a simulation city.

Hirasawa had originally planned to make this album a 90s version of The Dark Side of the Moon, but his newfound fascination with Thailand led him to create Sim City instead. It's the first part of a trilogy of Thailand-influenced albums partially recorded in Bangkok, followed by SIREN and Technique of Relief.

Track information

Shares its name with a P-Model song (originally from Fu Kyoka Kyoku Shū, re-recorded for Another Game). Both are tributes to Pink Floyd. It was also the basis for the Berserk song "Gats". The song was conceived in Bangkok. The song's subtitle, a reference to the address of Miss N.'s parents' house in the Bang Phlat District, appears only on the album's lyric sheet.
