Redline (video game)

Redline is a video game for Mac OS X developed by Jonas Echterhoff and published by Ambrosia Software. The game's primary features are its ability to simulate actual racing physics, online play, and support for the addition of third party content via plug-ins. The combination of these features have attracted numerous players and led to the creation of a seasonal racing league. Redline also has several modes of gameplay for those who prefer arcade style physics commonly found in other racing games. The game is now currently obsolete and an error message will be displayed upon opening the application as of OS X Snow Leopard and above.

Gameplay

Players may race in one of four modes: Time Trial, Quick Race, Challenge, or Multiplayer. In all of these modes, except for Challenge, the player may choose the track, their car, the weather, forward or reverse orientation, and the physics mode to race under. The modes available are: Simulation, Strict, Arcade, and Turbo Arcade. In Simulation, every car handles differently based on weight, drivetrain, horsepower, suspension setup, and other variables. Strict is a derivative of the Simulation mode, that was added in a later update that adjusts how car-scenery collisions are handled to help reduce the effectiveness of the "wall riding" technique. Arcade sacrifices realism for playability. Cars in Arcade differ less in performance than they do in Simulation or Strict. Turbo Arcade has the same physics as Arcade, but all cars much faster than normal, resulting in the least realistic method of play.

Redline (2009 film)

Redline (レッドライン, stylized as REDLINE) is a 2009 science fiction auto racing anime film produced by Madhouse and released in Japan on October 9, 2010. The directorial debut feature of Takeshi Koike, it features the voices of Takuya Kimura, Yū Aoi and Tadanobu Asano, and an original story by Katsuhito Ishii, who also co-writes and sound directs. The film is set in the distant future, where a man known as JP takes on great risks for the chance of winning the titular underground race.

After a total of seven years in production, Redline was intended to premiere at the 2009 Annecy International Animated Film Festival and follow Summer Wars, Mai Mai Miracle, and Yona Yona Penguin as the fourth and final feature film Madhouse planned to release between summer 2009 and spring 2010. However, further delays resulted in the delay of its world premiere, pushed back a few months to August 14, 2009, at the Locarno International Film Festival and its Japanese release to fall 2010.

Seventh Day Slumber

Seventh Day Slumber is a Christian rock band from Dallas, Texas formed in 1996. They were an independent band for five years until they signed with BEC Records in 2005. They are best known for their songs "Oceans from the Rain" and "Surrender". "Oceans from the Rain" was the 14th most played song on Christian CHR radio in 2006 according to the Weekend 22. Their songs have been featured frequently on X the album series.

History

Joseph Rojas tried to commit suicide following a cocaine binge, and became a Christian while being taken to the hospital in an ambulance. The band formed in 1996 and were later signed to BEC Recordings. He teamed with guitarist Evan Weatherford, bassist Joshua Schwartz and drummer Adam Witte. After signing to the Afinia label the group issued Matthew Twenty-Five three years later. Their second album Freedom From Human Regulations was also released on an independent album before they made their major-label debut with Picking Up the Pieces in 2003.

The Following (season 2)

The second season of the Fox American television psychological thriller series The Following premiered on January 19, 2014 and concluded on April 28, 2014, with a total of 15 episodes.

Plot

The second season centers on former FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) and his niece, NYPD detective Max Hardy (Jessica Stroup) and their attempts to find serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) following Joe's faked death. After a new group, led by Lily Gray (Connie Nielsen) and her sons Mark and Luke (Sam Underwood), begins to develop and make public statements to lure Joe out of his hiding, Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore) is re-recruited in order to find the new potential cult and teams with Ryan and Max to track down Joe and Lily. Meanwhile Joe is back to his old ways as he, along with his right-hand Emma (Valorie Curry), begin to draw plans to turn a new group of followers to his will. Things take a turn when Joe's ex-wife and the woman Ryan had an affair with, Claire Matthews (Natalie Zea), again enters the picture after Ryan and Joe believed her to be dead.

Hiljaisuus (English transl. Silence) is a 2011 Finnish war docudrama film directed by Sakari Kirjavainen and set in winter and spring 1944, near the end of the Continuation War.

Plot

Starring Finnish actors Joonas Saartamo, Joanna Haartti, Lauri Tilkanen, Terhi Suorlahti, Ilkka Heiskanen, Sinikka Mokkila and Kari Hakala, the film details the life and times of the members of a specialized Finnish army unit, commanded by a priest, whose difficult and dangerous assignment is to recover dead soldiers from the front lines, prepare their often frozen bodies for burial, and deliver them to their hometowns and families for funeral and burial. The film covers the daily lives, romances, and intrigues of the soldiers and their civilian female helpers attached to the unit, including the extreme dangers connected with their jobs. Near the end of the film, the unit's field morgue is about to be overrun; and the soldiers must take quick action to save their own lives and evacuate the growing collection of dead soldiers the unit are preparing for their final resting places.

Silence (TV series)

Silence (traditional Chinese: 深情密碼; simplified Chinese: 深情密码; pinyin: Shen Qing Mi Ma) is a 2006 Taiwanese drama starring Vic Chou of F4, Korean actress Park Eun-hye, Cantopop singer Andy Hui and Kingone Wang. It was produced by Comic Ritz International Production (可米瑞智國際藝能有限公司) and Chai Zhi Ping (柴智屏) and Hsiao Yi (蕭定一) as producers and directed by Zhang Zhong (張中一)

It was first broadcast in Taiwan on free-to-air China Television (CTV) (中視) from 21 May 2006 to 24 September 2006, on Sundays at 22:00. It was also shown on cable TV Eastern Television (ETTV) (東森電視).

Synopsis

Qi Wei Yi (Vic Chou), an ambitious but lonely businessman whose only moment of happiness took place 13 years ago with a mute girl, "Zhao Shen Shen" Park Eun-hye. When he was 15, he won a swimming competition and broke his leg, resulting in the alias "Plastered Leg". Zhao Shen Shen ditched school one day with her next-door neighbor, Zuo Jun, and got into a bus accident. She has been mute ever since. One day, on her way to the hospital, Shen Shen's mom gets hit by a car and doesn't survive. Wei Yi and Shen Shen both feel lonely so they send and receive messages at an abandoned bomb shelter. After a while, they meet each other and start communicating. Wei Yi does not know about Shen Shen's accident which caused her to be mute; he just thinks that Shen Shen does not like to speak. After a week of happiness, Wei Yi finds out that he has to go to England to study and transfer hospitals. A doctor helps Wei Yi see Shen Shen one more time, and he hurriedly writes down his phone number for Shen Shen.
