Sigurd Ibsen (23 December 1859 – 14 April 1930) was a Norwegian author, lawyer and statesman, who served as Prime Minister of Norway in Stockholm (1903–1905) and played a central role in the dissolution of the union between Norway and Sweden in 1905.
Ibsen was born in Christiania, but grew up mostly in Germany and Italy. Being the only child of playwright Henrik Ibsen and his wife Suzannah Thoresen, he struggled all his life to meet his family's high expectations.
Sigurd Ibsen got his doctorate in law in Rome in 1882 and was married to Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's daughter Bergliot. His son Tancred Ibsen became a well known film director. His daughter, Irene Ibsen Bille, was married to Josias Bille, a member of the Danish ancient noble Bille family. Their son was Danish actor Joen Bille.
From 1903 to 1905, he served as Prime Minister of Norway in Stockholm (i.e., the leader of the Norwegian delegation to the King of Sweden and Norway and the second highest cabinet position). During his term, George Francis Hagerup was Prime Minister in Christiania. Sigurd Ibsen played a central role in the dissolution of the union between Norway and Sweden in 1905. He is also regarded as important in convincing influential Norwegians supporting a republican government, like Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, Arne Garborg and Fridtjof Nansen, to turn and instead support a monarchy.
Sigurd (Old Norse: Sigurðr) is a legendary hero of Norse mythology, as well as the central character in the Völsunga saga. The earliest extant representations for his legend come in pictorial form from seven runestones in Sweden and most notably the Ramsund carving (c. 1000) and the Gök Runestone (11th century).
As Siegfried, he is one of the heroes in the German Nibelungenlied, and Richard Wagner's operas Siegfried and Götterdämmerung.
As Sivard Snarensven(d) he was the hero of several medieval Scandinavian ballads.
The name Sigurðr is not the same name as the German Siegfried. The Old Norse form of Siegfried would have been Sigfroðr. Sivard is a variant form of Sigurðr. These name forms all share the first element Sig-, which means victory (as does the German Sieg-).
In the Völsunga saga, Sigurd was supposedly the posthumous son of Sigmund and his second wife, Hiordis. Sigmund dies in battle when he attacks Odin (who is in disguise), and Odin shatters Sigmund's sword. Dying, Sigmund tells Hiordis of her pregnancy and bequeaths the fragments of his sword to his unborn son.
Sigurd is a Scandinavian male name, derived from the Old Norse Sigurðr (from sigr "victory" and varðr "guardian"). Another form of this name is Sigvard.

Sigurd (シグルド, Shigurudo, also known as Siglud in the Japanese version and Zigludo in the 1996 Nintendo Power Issue.) is the son of Vylon and a descendant of Baldur, one of the twelve Jugdral Crusaders. He eventually inherits the Tyrfing, Baldur's sword, from his father. Ethlyn is his younger sister, and her marriage to Quan of Leonster makes him his brother-in-law as well as his best friend. Sigurd is the prince of Chalphy Castle of the Kingdom of Grannvale. He leads an invasion of Verdane when Adean is kidnapped from Jungby Castle, during which he meets his wife, Deirdre, and instantly falls in love with her. He then leads an invasion and occupation of Agustria after his friend Eldigan is imprisoned there. During the occupation his son Seliph is born. Sigurd is accused of treason against Grannvale and is forced to take refuge in Silesse. He returns to Grannvale later, eliminating the lords that put the blames on him, only to be killed in Arvis' plan. His son Seliph takes over in Chapter 6 of the game, finishing what he started.
Dream of fragrent flowered nights
Of passionate love and sweet delights
Such wishful moments
In my life to say
I lie within my mind
Each day and every night
Could search my whole life through
And never find another you
I got secret passion for you
And it's burning out my heart and soul
Days are passing by eventually
Maybe my chance of a lifetime
Reduced to nothing
But the more I thought of
What I might have had,
But still I know
I will never find another you
I got secret passion for you
And it's burning out my heart and soul
Could you stay in my dreams
If you can't be real
While I sleep forever
In your arms
Hold me, hold me,
Don't let go
I got secret passion for you
