At the invitation of the Goethe Institute, the quartet has undertaken extended concert tours which have hitherto seen them perform in Asia, Middle America and Africa.
Their album ‘No.3’ (released in May 2013) with quartets by Bartók, Schnittke and Berg was announced as the winner of the chamber music category of the International Classical Music Awards 2014.
Concerts by the four musicians have been broadcast nationally and internationally by stations of the ARD, Deutschlandfunk, DRS, ORF, BBC and Arte.
Quartet is a second collaboration album of guitarists Peter Rowan and Tony Rice. On this record, the duo becomes a quartet with the addition of mandolinist Sharon Gilchrist and bassist Bryn Davies, both of whom sing as well. The band continues to deliver intimate, bluegrass-folk style music on a very high level.
Quartets is a commercial card game similar to Go Fish. The game was invented in the Netherlands where it is known as kwartet. The game was originally created by Austrian card game company Piatnik during the 1960s, but later began being released by Dubreq, Ace, Waddingtons and other companies. Quartets, like Ace Trumps, were usually non-licensed.
Each pack originally contained 32 cards, divided into 8 groups of 4 cards, unlike a normal 52 pack of playing cards, but the number of groups changed from company to company.
The game went on to inspired Top Trumps.
Quartets is played with three or more players, with the aim to win all the quarts (sets of four). Each card usually has a number and letter (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 2A, 2B etc. ) in the top right or left corner of the card.
The cards are shuffled and dealt evenly between all the players and the cards get held face up in a players hand. The player to the dealer's left starts by asking another player if they had a certain card (example, card 4C) which would help the player create a quart. If the player does have the card, then they hand it over. If the player doesn't, then it becomes his turn to ask.
Quartet is a public art work by artist Celine Farrell located on the south side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The painted steel sculpture consists of four panels radiating out from a center point. Each panel is painted a different color and has shapes cut out to represent the four seasons. It is located at South 13th Street and West Lincoln Avenue west of Kosciuszko Park in the Lincoln Village neighborhood. A derivative sculpture was created by recycling the cut away elements; this work is installed nearby at Ben's Cycle and Fitness, maker of Milwaukee Bicycles.

Signum is the name for two Dutch producers, Pascal Minnaard (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈpɑs.kɑl ˌmɪ.ˈnaːrt]) and Ronald Hagen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈroː.nɑlt ˈɦaː.ɣə(n)]) They are producers who create and remix mainly trance music.
Originally they both lived in Zoetermeer, a city in the Netherlands. In 2008, Minnaard moved to Norway with his fiance. Both Hagen and Minnaard still work together with the aid of internet technology and share projects together to create Signum tracks and DJ sets. Their first notable mainstream success was in 1997 with "What Ya Got 4 Me" (released on the Jinx record label), becoming a club anthem. This song was re-released in 2001 and entered the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.
Signum started out on the BPM dance label, and stayed with them until 2003 when the label was disbanded, they then signed a contract with Armada Music soon after.
With their success of "What Ya Got 4 Me", they continued to remix tracks and produce material including; "Forever", "Better Off Alone", "Take U There" and "On Stream". A lot of their work in this period did well in dance and club charts. Their next big achievement came when they collaborated with the British producer / DJ Scott Mac, to create "Coming On Strong", which again was a hit in the clubs. After this, they went to do remixes for ATB and Alice DeeJay.
