Sig, Algeria

Sig (known under the Romans as Tasacora and under the French as Saint-Denis-de-Sig) is a town with wide streets and tree-filled squares. Formerly located in Oran Province and now located in Mascara Province, north-western Algeria. Its population was 61,373 in 2008.

The town's public garden is on the bank of the Sig river just down stream the confluence of the le-Mebtoûh and the Matarah. Sig is surrounded by fertile land irrigated by the Barrages des Cheurfas (dams) 25 kilometres (16 mi) upstream with the overflow stored in the Petit Barrage (little dams) 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi) upstream from the town. The local land supports the growing of olives (groves of which surround the town), cotton, flax, grains, tobacco, and wine, much of which is proceed locally and exported. The other local industry is quarrying which for diatomite in Kieselguhr which is located neadby.

Sig is located about 29 kilometres (18 mi) south the Gulf of Arzew, separated by the Sig plains and north-west of Mount Touakas (349 metres (1,145 ft) high). Sig is about 44 kilometres (27 mi) east of Oran and 450 kilometres (280 mi) from Algiers. The temperatures there usually rise from May to the end of August. It can reach up to 44 °C (111 °F) and become very hot in a desert-like terrain.

Jak and Daxter

Jak and Daxter is a video game franchise created by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin and owned by Sony Computer Entertainment. The series was developed by Naughty Dog with a number of installments being outsourced to Ready at Dawn and High Impact Games. The first entry was one of the earliest titles released on the PlayStation 2, and is regarded as a defining franchise for the console.

The games are considered story-based platformers that feature a mixture of action, racing and puzzle solving. The series is set in a fictional universe that incorporates science fantasy elements, and centers on the titular characters as they try to uncover the secrets of their world, and unravel the mysteries left behind by an ancient race of Precursors.

The first three games in the series were re-released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita as part of a remastered collection that includes support for the PlayStation Network and the PlayStation Suite. The remastered collection was handled by Mass Media Inc. with Naughty Dog assisting with the conversion of the games. The series has also produced various forms of extended media and merchandise, and has sold over 12 million copies worldwide.

Sansa (film)

Sansa is a 2003 French film directed by Siegfried, starring Roschdy Zem. Siegfried also composed music for his film together with violinist Ivry Gitlis who play own role in the film. Original release summary: "Les aventures rocambolesques de Sansa à travers le monde" (Sansa's incredible adventures around the world).

Plot

Artist/writer/director/producer Siegfried follows a street hustler/artist Sansa (Roschdy Zem) who makes his way from Paris to Russia using his street smarts. Sansa is charming and careless, living the bohemian life. His encounters are numerous, mostly with feminine characters, until he gets attached to an old and eccentric orchestra conductor (Ivry Gitlis) who becomes a kind of father figure.

Sansa's peregrinations start in Montmartre, then follow with a succession of international clichés. In Italy, we "learn" that women have dark hair and are beautiful while men are machos; we even to get to enjoy a Vespa chase. Russia is the land of chaos and organized crime where everybody gets drunk with vodka. Africa is corrupted, India is about people going naked in the river and Egypt has pyramids. Meanwhile, our hero Sansa, who is the victim of police abuse anywhere he goes, is unstoppable, seducing women around the world, like a backpacking James Bond, jumping from one train to another, escaping trouble, running into friends everywhere he goes, and walking, his hands in his pockets, through the great icy lands of Russia and the Moroccan desert.

Sansa Airlines

SANSA Airlines (Servicios Aéreos Nacionales S.A.) is an airline based in San José, Costa Rica. It operates scheduled passenger services as part of the TACA Airlines regional airline system, and has become Avianca Costa Rica. Its hub is Juan Santamaría International Airport.
