Shuddhi is Sanskrit for purification. In Hinduism it is a part of worship. It also sometimes refers to reverting to Hinduism after converting from Hinduism to another religion.
The socio-political movement, derived from ancient rite of shuddhikaran, or purification was started by the Arya Samaj, and its founder Swami Dayanand Saraswati and his followers like Swami Shraddhanand, who also worked on the Sangathan consolidation aspect of Hinduism, in North India, especially Punjab in early 1900s, though it gradually spread across India. Shuddhi had a social reform agenda behind its belligerent rationale and was aimed at abolishing the practise of untouchability by converting outcasts from other religions to Hinduism and integrating them into the mainstream community by elevating their position, and instilling self-confidence and self-determination in them. The movement strove to reduce the conversions of Hindus to Islam and Christianity, which were underway at the time.
Karan Malhotra is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He is best known for his debut film Agneepath. Before marking his directorial debut in 2012 with Dharma Productions, he worked for ten years as an assistant director in the Hindi film industry.
Malhotra worked as an assistant director in the films such as Jodhaa Akbar, My Name Is Khan and Jaan-E-Mann before remaking Dharma Productions Agneepath.
Malhotra and his wife Ekta Pathak Malhotra began collaborating on the screenplay for Shuddhi which is slated for a Diwali 2016 release.
Malhotra has begun developing a new film for Dharma Productions with his wife Ekta Pathak Malhotra. Whilst working on the script both Karan and Ekta made several research-based trips to Hrishikesh, one of the prominent shooting locations for the film. In March 2013, producer Karan Johar officially announced that Dharma Productions had begun pre-production on a new film venture titled Shhuddhi.
Though initially speculated that Malhotra's Shhuddhi would be the theatrical adaptation of Amish Tripathi's "The Immortals of Meluha", it was later proven false. In September 2013, Karan Johar announced that Malhotra would be directing The Immortals of Meluha, but only after the theatrical release of Shhuddhi starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
Your are the queen
I'm just a pawn
In the chess game of life
Send me to war
A whisper to the king
Of the favours you gave me
I will take my chance
On a crusade of love
Be my Lady of the Lake
Come love me before it's too late
Be my Lady of the Lake
For the angel with the sword of death won't wait
The colours that I wear
Show me just how much you care
Lady
My body is done
My soul will return
To the Lady of the Lake
Dying came too soon
Cry no more tears
There's love after life
A king and his queen everlasting light
Be my Lady of the Lake
Come love me before it's too late
The colours that I wear
Show me just how much you care
