Little Queen

Little Queen is the second studio album released by the American rock band Heart. It was released in May 1977 on Portrait Records, and re-released in 2004 with two bonus tracks.

Overview

The group intended Magazine to be the official follow-up album to the debut Dreamboat Annie. However a contract dispute with their label Mushroom Records, resulted in the group signing with the newly formed Portrait Records, a division of CBS Records (now Sony/BMG).

The contract called for two albums and Mushroom took the position that they were owed a second one. On that basis, Mushroom attempted to prevent the release of Little Queen and any other work by Heart, and took the four unfinished tracks for Magazine, added some studio outtakes and live material, and released the album with a disclaimer on the cover.

The dispute dragged on for about two years and ended with the court deciding that the band was free to sign with another label, but that Mushroom was indeed owed a second album. So, Heart went back to the studio to re-record, remix, edit, and re-sequence the recordings in a marathon session over the period of a few days. A court ordered guard stood nearby to prevent the master tapes from being erased.

  • Show Me Love (t.A.T.u. song)

"Show Me Love" is the English version of the song Ya Tvoya Ne Pervaya (Cyrillic: "Я твоя не первая") by t.A.T.u.. It was released as a promotional single for radio stations, taken from the album 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane. It was meant to be the third official single from 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane, after All The Things She Said and Not Gonna Get Us, however Interscope Records cancelled it and released How Soon Is Now? instead. The radio promo was only released in Poland.

    Lyrical content

The song opens to Lena and Yulia speaking in Russian, which translated means "Hello / Hello / Can you see the wind? / So what? / Just look out of the window / So what? / There was sun yesterday / So what? / Why are you always saying the same thing? / I am an answering machine". The song then begins, featuring a prominent synthesizer beat throughout the duration of the song, with lyrics regarding to events played down to seem like nuances. The chorus features repetition of the phrase "show me love".

    Show Me Love (Robyn song)

"Show Me Love" is a song by Swedish pop singer Robyn. It was released in October 1997 as a single from her debut album, Robyn Is Here. The song is her fourth Swedish, third UK and second US single. The song is sometimes confused with Robin S.'s 1993 hit "Show Me Love" because of identical song titles and similar first names; however, the two songs are not related.

    History

In her home country, "Show Me Love" became Robyn's fourth hit, peaking at number 14, lower than "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect)", which both went top 10.

In the US, the single peaked at number seven, her second consecutive top 10 hit there. In the UK, "Show Me Love" became Robyn's first of two top 20 hits from Robyn Is Here and her first top 10 hit, peaking at number eight. In December 1997 the single received a Gold certification from the RIAA in recognition of 500,000 copies sold in the US. It was Robyn's last Top 10 and remains her last charting single on the Hot 100 to date.

    Love Alive

    by: Heart

The sky was dark this morning when I raised my head
I stood at the window, darkness was my bane
Suddenly a sunbeam thrilled me to my weary heart
It was the prettiest thing I'd ever seen
I knew I had to keep my love
    Keep my love alive
Keep my love, keep my love alive
Oh baby, I want you to roll me, hold me in your love
No more habits, promises and jive
Ever since I was a baby girl wanted one thing most in this world
It was to keep my love, keep my love alive
Yeah, I got to keep my love, keep my love alive
Keep my love, keep it alive
Well, oh I know, I know I got to keep my love
You're up there under the spotlight like your silver trophy shines
With all you got, my Lord, You must get high
You need a whole lot more than money, you need more than to survive
You gotta to keep your love, keep your love alive
Ooh you better keep your love, keep your love alive
Ooh keep your love, keep your love, keep your love alive
Come on keep your love, now keep your love alive
