Blake Butler (born 1979) is an American writer and editor. He edited the defunct literature blog HTML Giant, and two journals: Lamination Colony, and concurrently with co-editor Ken Baumann, No Colony. His other writing has appeared in Birkensnake, The Believer, Unsaid, Fence, Willow Springs, The Lifted Brow, Opium Magazine, Gigantic and Black Warrior Review. He also writes a regular column for Vice Magazine.

Butler attended Georgia Tech, where he initially intended to major in computer science before switching to multi-media design. He graduated with a Bachelors and went on to Bennington College for his Master of Fine Arts.

Maggie Stiefvater

Maggie Stiefvater (STEE-vah-tǝr; born November 18, 1981) is an American writer of Young Adult fiction. She currently lives in Virginia.

Early life

Stiefvater was born Heidi Hummel in Harrisonburg, Virginia. After being home-schooled from sixth grade on, Maggie Stiefvater attended Mary Washington College, graduating with a B.A. in history. After graduating, she worked as a portrait artist, specializing in equestrian art, which is collected internationally. At 16, she legally changed her first name from Heidi to Margaret. She is married and has two children.

Writing career

Stiefvater published her first novel, Lament, in 2008. Before Lament had been released, she sold the rights to Ballad, the sequel to Lament, and to Shiver, the first book in The Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy.Shiver spent more than 40 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List. In 2010, Linger debuted at the number one spot on the New York Times Bestseller List. There are over 1.7 million copies of The Wolves of Mercy Falls series in print and more than thirty-six foreign editions have been licensed.

Shiver (The Gazette song)

"Shiver" is a maxi-single by the Japanese rock band, The Gazette. It was released on July 21, 2010 in three editions; the "Optical Impression" edition, "Auditory Impression" edition, and "Kuroshitsuji II: Limited Edition", the first coming with a DVD containing the music video and making for the song "Shiver", and the second with a bonus track, and the third which contains the TV version of the song and the DVD which is the opening clip.

Songs About Jane

Songs About Jane is the official debut studio album by American pop rock band Maroon 5, released on June 25, 2002 by Octone and J Records. The album became a sleeper hit with the help of five singles that attained chart success, including the Billboard hit "Harder to Breathe" and international hits "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved".

Songs About Jane was re-released on October 14, 2003 becoming a huge international success. It topped the album charts in Australia, France, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, and reached the top 10 in 17 other countries. At the end of 2004, the album reached the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 chart. It had sold nearly 2.7 million copies by the end of 2004, and over 5.1 million copies in the U.S. by August 2015. It has sold over 10 million copies worldwide as of 2015.

Background

All but one member of the band had been members of a previous Los Angeles band called Kara's Flowers which released an album called The Fourth World in mid-1997 on Reprise Records with little success. Kara's Flowers left Reprise Records in 1999 and with the addition of guitarist James Valentine became Maroon 5.
