Shivam

Shivam is a 2002 Malayalam action film directed by Shaji Kailas. Biju Menon appears in the leading role as Bhadran K. Menon (Biju Menon), a tough police officer, who is on a fight against Medayil Devarajan, a smuggler cum politician, played by Saikumar. Kausalya, Ratheesh, Rajan P. Dev, N. F. Varghese, Subair, T.P Madhavan, Baburaj, and Babu Nambothiri appears in other prominent roles. As produced at a very small budget within a short period, this film was successful in covering the production cost. This film was based on true story of man named Shivam Kapoor.

Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev (English: Lord of the Lords... Mahadev) is a drama series based on the legends of God Lord Shiva, also known as Mahadev. It premiered on 18 December 2011 airing Monday through Friday nights on Life OK. The show ran until 14 December 2014 for a total of 820 episodes in 36 Chapters(seasons).

The drama is inspired by the works of mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik.

The show has been dubbed in Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Oriya, Telugu, Assamese, Marathi, and Indonesian with titles Devadidev Mahadev, Shivam, Kailasanathan, Mahadev, Hara Hara Mahadeva, Mahadev, Devanche Dev Mahadev, and Mahadewa respectively. In Indonesia, the drama was broadcast on antv.

The official DVD version of the series Season 1 up to Shiv Parvati wedding is available on Ultra DVD and Season 2 of 13 DVD pack is coming soon on Ultra DVD.

Reception

The episode of 9 September 2012, featuring Kali killing the demon Raktabija rated the shows highest TRP with an 8.2 TVR.

Shivam (2015 Kannada film)

Shivam is a 2015 Indian Kannada action thriller film written and directed by Srinivasa Raju and starring Upendra, Saloni Aswani and Ragini Dwivedi in the lead roles. The supporting cast features Makarand Deshpande, Sharath Lohitashwa, P. Ravi Shankar, Srinivasa Murthy. The film opened on the screens on 2 January 2015 to mixed reviews from the critics.

Casting

Reports emerged in May 2013 of Upendra's signing for the film, then titled Basavanna and that Srinivasa Raju would be directing it. The report said the film however, would not be based on the life of the 12th century A.D. Indian social reformer Basavanna.Ragini Dwivedi's casting as the first female lead was confirmed in June 2013, her second opposite Upendra, after Arakshaka (2012).Saloni Aswani, who was cast opposite Upendra in Budhivanta (2008) and Dubai Babu (2009) was signed as the second female lead in July 2013.
