SBS states that Hore's disruption of the FIFA allowed Iran to regroup and come back with two goals, ensuring them a trip to the 1998 FIFA World Cup on away goal rules. Hore was held for one month in the Port Phillip Correctional Centre for disrupting the Melbourne Cup.
