Serginho

Serginho is a diminutive form of given name Sérgio and may refer to:

Serginho (footballer, born 1971)

Sérgio Cláudio dos Santos (Serginho for short; born June 27, 1971 in Nilópolis, Brazil) is a former association footballer, who last played as a left winger and left back for A.C. Milan, winning the Champions League twice with the club, in 2003 and 2007. He also represented Brazil at the 1999 FIFA Confederations Cup, and was part of the team that won the 1999 Copa América.

Style of play

Serginho was an incredibly fast and hard-working, offensive-minded player, who could play either as left back, or on the left wing. He maintained his extraordinary pace and stamina well into his mid-late 30's. He was also an excellent crosser of the ball, which allowed him to regularly contribute to his team's offence with several assists. His nickname throughout his career was Il Concorde (The Concorde), due to his quick and tireless runs down the left flank of the pitch.

Career

He played for Cruzeiro EC and Bahia, and moved to AC Milan from São Paulo FC in 1999. At Milan, Serginho was always a fringe player, starting on the bench but often being the first substitute. He contributed to Milan's 2003 UEFA Champions League victory over Juventus, scoring the first of Milan's three penalty scores in the shootout. 2005 was a reversal of fortune as Milan made the Champions League final again but lost on penalties to Liverpool, with Serginho whistling his shot over the crossbar.

Sérgio André Pereira Neves (born 6 October 1993 in Águas Santas - Maia) known as Serginho, is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Vitória de Guimarães, as a defender.

Football career

On 1 March 2015, Serginho made his professional debut with Académico Viseu in a 2014–15 Segunda Liga match against Oliveirense.
