Proctor

Proctor, a variant of the word procurator, is a person who takes charge of, or acts for, another. The word proctor is frequently used to describe someone who oversees an exam or dormitory.

The title is used in England in three principal senses

Law

Historical legal office

A proctor was a legal practitioner in the ecclesiastical and admiralty courts. Historically, they were licensed by the Archbishop of Canterbury to undertake the duties that were performed in common law courts by attorneys and in the courts of equity by solicitors. Later, the Judicature Acts of 1873 and 1875, which created the Supreme Court of Judicature, combined the three roles into the common profession of "solicitor of the Supreme Court".

Senior (education)

Senior is a term used in the United States to describe a student in the 4th year of study (generally referring to high school or college/university study).

High school

In the United States, the 12th grade is usually the fourth and final year of a student's high school period and is referred to as senior year. In England and Wales, students in their tenth year and above in Secondary School are seniors; in Scotland, students in their fifth year and above are seniors. In the Canadian province of Ontario, high school students in their third year and above are considered to be seniors.

Higher education

In the United States, the final year of a student's education towards a bachelor's degree, typically the fourth year, is known as the senior year.

Intercollegiate athletics

In college athletics, a student in their final year of eligibility is known as a senior.

Super Senior

The term super senior is used in the United States to refer to a fifth-year student who has not completed the graduation requirements by the end of the fourth year, and thus is required to stay an additional year to complete said requirements.

Senior (album)

Senior is the fourth studio album by Norwegian electronic music duo Röyksopp, released on 8 September 2010 by Wall of Sound. Consisting of instrumental tracks only, the album is described as more introspective and withdrawn than its predecessor, Junior (2009). The CD's final track "A Long, Long Way" also includes the hidden track "The Final Day", which is available as a separate track on the iTunes Store.

The album debuted at number 33 on the UK Albums Chart with first-week sales of 3,864 copies.Senior spawned two singles: "The Drug" and "Forsaken Cowboy".

Background

Senior is intended to be an introspective, withdrawn, atmospheric counterpart to the "bubbly dance grooves" of Junior (2009), with Röyksopp stating it has a more "autumn mood" to it, in contrast to Junior's "spring feel". In an interview with KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, Svein Berge dubbed Senior "the senile sibling of Junior who lives in the attic". Berge cited "The Alcoholic" as a standout track, explaining that they had "this romantic, nostalgic idea based on this hobo who hitchhikes on trains and travels from place to place".

Proctor (lunar crater)

Proctor is the remnant of a lunar crater that is located to the southeast of the prominent crater Tycho. It lies just to the north of the huge walled plain Maginus. To the north is the crater Saussure and to the northwest, just to the east of Tycho, lies Pictet. Proctor is 52 kilometers in diameter and its walls are 1,300 meters high. It is from the Pre-Imbrian period, which lasted from 4.55 to 3.85 billion years ago.

The outer rim of this crater has become heavily worn and eroded, and now forms a low, irregular rise around the interior floor. Much of the northwestern half of the rim is marked by a number of small craters, including Proctor D. The interior floor is somewhat level and is marked only by a few tiny impacts.

The crater is named after the 20th-century American astronomy writer Mary Proctor.

Carolyn Parmenter

Carolyn Parmenter is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe. She was created by John Byrne, and first appeared in Incredible Hulk #317 (Mar. 1986).

Carolyn Parmenter was a member of Bruce Banner's Hulkbusters, a team of highly skilled individuals selected to capture and study the Hulk. Carolyn was a marine scientist trained in the fields of biology, oceanics, scuba diving, and exploration.

Carolyn was the girlfriend of fellow Hulkbuster, Samuel LaRoquette. Carolyn was killed during a battle with Doc Samson.

Papa Jambo

Papa Jambo (Charles LeJeune), is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe. Papa Jambo was a very proficient and well-trained Voodoo Houngan from Haiti, skilled in magic who trained both Daniel Drumm and Jericho Drumm (Brother Voodoo and much later known as Doctor Voodoo; the Sorcerer Supreme). Jambo died after passing on his many years of knowledge onto Brother Voodoo, his successor to combat and defeat Damballah, a pawn of the Serpent God, Set, who came to Port-au-Prince to take control of the local communities.
