3OH!3

3OH!3 (pronounced "three oh three") is an American electronic music duo from Boulder, Colorado, made up of Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte. They are best known for their single "Don't Trust Me" from their album Want, which reached number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. Their second single, a remix of "Starstrukk" featuring Katy Perry from Want, was a top ten hit in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Poland, and Australia. They gained further recognition by featuring Kesha on the song "My First Kiss", which was made the lead single from their album Streets of Gold. The album later peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200.

History

2004–07: Debut album

3OH!3 consists of Sean Foreman, born August 27, 1985, and Nathaniel Motte, born January 13, 1984, both of whom are natives of Boulder, Colorado. Foreman and Motte started their band in 2004 and named it after the 303 area code of Boulder, Colorado. They released their first self-titled album: 3OH!3 in 2007 and it spawned one successful single, "Electroshock". 3OH!3 then signed to Photo Finish Records, a division of Atlantic Records and planned to start recording their second album.

Sean Foreman

Sean Foreman (born August 27, 1985) is an American multi-platinum recording artist from Boulder, Colorado. He is a member of the electronic pop duo 3OH!3 with Nathaniel Motte.

History

Sean Foreman was born in Boulder, CO and attended Fairview High School. He graduated college from University of Colorado Boulder with an English major and math minor. Sean Foreman married his college sweetheart, Melanie Mary Knigge, in 2013.

Sean Foreman co-writes all of 3OH!3’s music. The duo’s second studio album WANT went gold in 2008. Their song “Don’t Trust Me,” from 3OH!3’s 2008 album, was No. 1 on pop radio and sold over 6 million copies. “Starstrukk,” the third single from WANT, went platinum and peaked within the top five of the charts in Australia, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Poland and the United Kingdom. Its radio-only and deluxe album version of “Starstrukk” featuring pop singer Katy Perry, has been released along with a music video.(source)

3OH!3’s lead single from Streets of Gold, “My First Kiss” featuring Kesha, went platinum after selling over 1 million copies. Sean Foreman is an avid book reader and comic book collector, and made his own comic for 3OH!3’s Streets of Gold deluxe record.
