Scott White (politician)

Scott Benton White (June 8, 1970 – October 21, 2011) was a Democratic member of the Washington State Senate, representing the 46th legislative district. His district included much of North Seattle, including the neighborhoods of Northgate, Greenwood, Bitter Lake, Broadview, Haller Lake, Pinehurst, Olympic Hills, Maple Leaf, Lake City, Wedgwood, View Ridge, Laurelhurst, and Windermere.

On October 21, 2011, Senator White was found dead in a hotel room at Suncadia Resort. The coroner's report indicated that the cause was a cardiac problem linked to a previously undiagnosed enlarged heart.

During the 2011–2012 term, White's assignments in the Senate would have included serving in leadership as Majority Whip, as Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee, and serving on the Higher Education and Rules Committees.

White served in a variety of professional and community leadership positions before being elected to the legislature. He is a former Chief of Staff to the Metropolitan King County Council, and he has served as budget and policy staff in both the Washington State Legislature and King County government. White has taught graduate-level courses in public policy at the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. In 2004 he was selected as a Marshall Fellow by the German Marshall Fund of the United States. White has served on the board of Humanities Washington, the Public Policy Committee of the United Way of King County, and is an award winning grassroots organizer with the Democratic Party.

Scott White (director)

Scott White is an American television director and producer. He is perhaps best known for his work on the series Without a Trace, working under different capacities as a director, producer and unit production manager throughout the show's run (2002–2009).

His other directing credits include Dream On, CSI: NY and Ringer.

His producing television credits include Freddy's Nightmares, Fudge (also director), Burn Notice, as well producing a number of television films.

White has also had experience working as an assistant director and unit production manager on many feature films, television films and television series. As well as having bit acting roles sporadically from 1967 to 2002.

The Reason 4

The Reason 4 was a British boyband based in Southampton who rose to fame after reaching the judges houses stage during the UK talent show The X Factor in 2010 in the program's seventh series. The group consists of Glenn Vine, Marc Higgins, Nathan Rawlings, Scott White. Their debut single was "Take It All" and a 2012 album was underway, when they announced that they were calling it quits because of "lack of finance".

Originally called The Reason, the four applied to the ITV talent show UK's The X Factor in summer of 2010 as a vocal group, composed of:

All were residents of Southampton, Hampshire and working in that area. Nathan Rollins and Glen Vine had been to the same school and knew each other well. Scott was also a long-time friend to Nathan. The three long-time buddies met Marc Higgins, unemployed at the time, who volunteered to make the arrangements and vocal harmony for the group they formed in January 2010.

Scott White (ice hockey)

Scott White (born March 15, 1968) is a Canadian ice hockey executive. He is currently the general manager of the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League (AHL), and is also the Director of Hockey Operations for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL).

White has served as the general manager of the Texas Stars of the AHL since 2009. On May 31, 2013, the Dallas Stars announced that White would take on the additional responsibility as the Director of Hockey Operations for the NHL team.
