Scott Parker

Scott Matthew Parker (born 13 October 1980) is an English professional footballer who plays for Fulham as a midfielder. He is known as a tough tackling central midfielder.

Parker began his career at Charlton Athletic, and was loaned to Norwich City, before joining Chelsea for £10 million in January 2004. He did not play regularly at Chelsea, and moved to Newcastle United the following year, where he was made captain. Parker joined West Ham United in 2007, and was the FWA Footballer of the Year for the 2010–11 season despite the club being relegated. He was then signed by Tottenham Hotspur and joined Fulham in 2013.

He has represented England at every level from under-16 to senior, making his full debut in 2003. Uniquely, he won his first four England caps while playing for four different clubs. Parker was a member of the England team which reached the quarter-finals at UEFA Euro 2012.

Early life

Parker was born in Lambeth, London, and attended Haberdashers' Aske's Hatcham College in New Cross Gate. As a 13-year-old, he appeared in a well-known English advert for McDonald's, in which he played keepie uppie, during the 1994 FIFA World Cup campaign. Parker is a graduate of The Football Association's now-defunct national School of Excellence at Lilleshall.

He has appeared in over one-hundred plays and films working with directors such as Derrick Borte, Giancarlo Esposito, and George Clooney. Most recently he played Jefferson Calvert in the theatrical production of Four Queens - No Trump under the direction of Ted Lange. In recent years, Mr. Parker has gravitated toward historical films including Capt. Philip Carteret of the HMS Harwich in the film Newton's Grace, Dr. Smith (Henry Box Brown), and Gen. George Washington (produced by North Carolina Museum of History).

3.0 is a Canadian professional wrestling tag team, consisting of Scott "Jagged" Parker (born Jeff Parker on March 20, 1983 in Niagara Falls, Ontario) and Shane Matthews (born Matthew Lee in 1983 in Niagara Falls, Ontario). The team, originally billed as 2.0, is best known for working for Chikara and International Wrestling Syndicate (IWS), but have also made appearances for several other independent promotions, including Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South (IWA-MS), Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), and Ring of Honor (ROH). Parker and Matthews are former two-time holders of both the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas and the IWS Tag Team Championship.

Professional wrestling career

International Wrestling Syndicate (2004–2010, 2014–present)

2.0 began working for Montreal, Quebec-based International Wrestling Syndicate (IWS) in June 2004. For the first six months in the promotion, Jagged and Shane Matthews worked as faces, but on January 2005 2.0 turned heel at a Northern Championship Wrestling (NCW) co-promoted event with IWS. On March 26, 2005, 2.0 received their first shot at the IWS Tag Team Championship, but were unable to dethrone the defending champions the Flying Hurricanes (Kenny the Bastard and Takao) in a four-way match, which also included SLI (Marc Le Grizzly and Viking) and the Wrecking Crew (Chris Wells and Tomassino). 2.0 received a rematch for the titles on July 9, 2005, during IWS' first, and only, show at The Arena in Philadelphia, but managed to defeat the Flying Hurricanes only via countout, which meant that they didn't win the championship. This set up a rubber match for August 20, when 2.0 finally defeated the Flying Hurricanes to win the IWS Tag Team Championship.

Scott Parker (ice hockey)

Scott Parker (born January 29, 1978) is a retired American professional ice hockey right winger who played for the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks in the NHL. Parker earned his nickname, "The Sheriff", from his reputation as a feared fighter and enforcer.

Playing career

Parker grew up playing roller hockey in Hanford, California, and he later played high school hockey for the Chugiak Mustangs in Eagle River, Alaska.

He was initially drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the third round, 63rd overall, in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. However unable to come to an agreement with the Devils he re-entered into the 1998 draft and was selected in the first round, 20th overall, by the Colorado Avalanche. After playing a few seasons in the WHL with the Kelowna Rockets, Parker started his NHL career with the Avalanche in 1998 and was a member of their 2001 Stanley Cup Championship team.

Parker was acquired by San Jose for a fifth round selection in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft on June 21, 2003. In 2005, Parker was struck in the head by the puck, and spent a long time off the ice recovering from the resulting concussion.

Scott Parker (born November 21, 1961 in Flint, Michigan) is an American professional motorcycle dirt track racer.

Racing career

Parker is a nine-time winner of the A.M.A. Grand National Championship. He holds the all-time Grand National Dirt Track Championship record of 94 race wins and is a three-time winner of the AMA Pro Athlete of the Year Award. Parker was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2009.
