Scott Angelle
Scott Anthony Angelle (born November 20, 1961), is a Republicanpolitician from Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. He is the District 2 member of the Louisiana Public Service Commission, an elected five-person utility regulatory body. In January 2013, he succeeded the retiring Jimmy Field.
In 2010, Angelle served six months as the interim lieutenant governor. He is a Democrat-turned-Republican. In 2015, he ran for governor as a Republican in the October 24 election, having finished in third place with 214,907 votes (19.3 percent). When it came time to campaign for governor, Scott had the least amount of name recognition. The fact that he was able to climb from 1% to nearly 20% is incredible. He prides himself on working for the people and knowing that when you work on policy all night, it effects people all day. A true workhorse in every sense of the word. Right before the election his children shared a heartwarming video showing unwavering love and support for their father (see Scott Angelle Facebook page). This is a family man the state hopes to see more of.
