Say My Name

"Say My Name" is a song by R&B American recording group Destiny's Child. It was written by band members Beyoncé Knowles, LeToya Luckett, LaTavia Roberson and Kelly Rowland along with LaShawn Daniels, Fred Jerkins III and Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins for their second album The Writing's on the Wall (1999), featuring production by the latter.

The song was the third single from the album and marked the introduction of the band's second lineup featuring newly added members Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin. The single is the most successful of the four releases from the album and is considered to be one of their signature songs.

A critical success, "Say My Name" won two Grammy Awards at the 2001 ceremony, for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and Best R&B Song, while also nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. The song's music video won the 2000 MTV Video Music Award for Best R&B Video. It also captured a Soul Train Lady of Soul Award for Best R&B/Soul Single, Group, Band or Duo along with a BMI Pop Award for Most Played Song.

Say My Name (Breaking Bad)

"Say My Name" (originally titled "Everybody Wins") is the seventh episode of the fifth season of the American television drama series Breaking Bad, and the 53rd overall episode of the series. Written and directed by Thomas Schnauz, it aired on AMC on August 26, 2012.

The title of the episode is a phrase repeatedly spoken by Walt (Bryan Cranston) during his encounter with Declan (Louis Ferreira).

This episode marks Jonathan Banks's final appearance as a series regular. Banks and Bryan Cranston both received high praise from critics for their performances. Banks later returned for the Breaking Bad spin-off (prequel), Better Call Saul as Mike and currently stars as a series regular.

Plot

Walt, Mike (Jonathan Banks), and Jesse (Aaron Paul) meet with Declan, their Phoenix-based competitor. Instead of agreeing to Declan's offer to purchase the heisted methylamine for $15 million in exchange for removing the "blue sky" from the drug market, Walt offers a counterproposal: to sell his superior product through Declan's southwest distribution network in exchange for a substantial share of the business and a one-time, $5 million payment to Mike for his share. Frustrated with having to negotiate with Walt, Declan demands to know who he is. Refusing to back down, Walt insists that Declan already knows his name and demands that Declan say it. When Walt informs him that it was he who killed Gus Fring, Declan resignedly realizes and acknowledges Walt as Heisenberg.

Say My Name (Peking Duk song)

"Say My Name" is a song by Australian electronic music duo Peking Duk. The song features vocals from Benjamin Joseph from the band SAFIA. The song is another single from their debut studio album.

It is the first single from the group to be released in the United States and is taken from their first extended play, Songs to Sweat To, to be released on 31 July 2015.

The song was written after their appearance at Stereosonic Music Festival in Melbourne in December 2014. The group adds; "The song was actually written in a matter of 20 minutes. It sounded rough but all the ideas were there, a wrap-up session in Canberra and some tightening up in Los Angeles later and 'Say My Name' was complete."

"Say My Name" debuted at number 29 on the Australian ARIA Charts.

Music Video

The music video was directed by Anthony Chirco and released on 21 September. The clip features Matt McGorry (of Orange is the New Black and How to Get Away with Murder). The video caught the attention of Ariana Grande who said "oh................... my god" and Ruby Rose who said "I could watch this all day".

"My Name" is a 2010 single from English singer McLean. It was released on March 8, 2010 on CD, and March 5, 2010 on digital download. The track has been remixed by many other British artists. It is thought that the producer of the song is Fraser T Smith, but was also originally produced by Slick and Magic in London - the song was completed in Los Angeles by Dylan "3D" Dresdow, the mix engineer that also mixed The Black Eyed Peas hit singles off their latest album, The E.N.D.. Singer Iyaz, produced a song named 'So Big' that has the same melody.

BBC chart blog's Fraser McAlpine gave a fair review for the song:

I don't know how the people who made this record ever got through it. I mean I've some idea of how you record a song, and usually it requires several million listens to the same three minutes, adding bits, taking bits away, polishing, until it's finally perfect. I only have to review the thing and by my tally I've clocked up over three hours on the one song so far (not all of it continuous).

My Name (BoA album)

My Name is BoA's 4th Korean language album.

The Overseas Version (sold in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other parts of Asia) includes remakes of two of her songs in Chinese and an alternative cover, making her first foray in the Chinese Market. The Music Video of My Name is playable by putting the CD into a computer. It placed number 7 for highest sales of the year selling close to 200,000 copies. The album was released in Japan on March 26, 2008 and was failed to chart in Oricon top 100 .

"Spark" is a Korean-language cover of Luis Fonsi's "Keep My Cool."
