Roberto Zanetti

Roberto Zanetti (born November 28, 1956) is an Italian singer, music producer, composer and businessman from Massa, Tuscany. As a singer he is known under the stage name Savage, and as a music producer he uses the alias Robyx.

He has founded several companies: Robyx Productions, Extravaganza Publishing and DWA Records.

Zanetti has produced and written music for several artists other than himself, including Ice MC, Double You, Alexia and Zucchero.

Vocal career

Since 1983, Zanetti has recorded under the stage name Savage. His song "Don't Cry Tonight" was successful across Europe and has been frequently remixed since. The same year, he recorded "Only You", a slow disco number which has also become significantly popular. His first album, Tonight was commercially successful and preceded singles like "Radio", "Time", "A Love Again", "Celebrate", and "Love Is Death". In 1989, he recorded "I Just Died In Your Arms" (a Hi-NRG remake of the Cutting Crew song), as well as a greatest hits album. In 1994, he released another album, Strangelove, containing a number of remixes of his older songs and four mixes of the song "Strangelove" (originally by Depeche Mode). The last single which was released by Savage was "Don't You Want Me", which appeared on his own label, Dance World Attack Records (DWA) in 1994. This track does not appear on the Strangelove album. After a fifteen-year silence, he released "Twothousandnine" as a single in October 2009.

Fractal

A fractal is a natural phenomenon or a mathematical set that exhibits a repeating pattern that displays at every scale. It is also known as expanding symmetry or evolving symmetry. If the replication is exactly the same at every scale, it is called a self-similar pattern. An example of this is the Menger Sponge. Fractals can also be nearly the same at different levels. This latter pattern is illustrated in the magnifications of the Mandelbrot set. Fractals also include the idea of a detailed pattern that repeats itself.

Fractals are different from other geometric figures because of the way in which they scale. Doubling the edge lengths of a polygon multiplies its area by four, which is two (the ratio of the new to the old side length) raised to the power of two (the dimension of the space the polygon resides in). Likewise, if the radius of a sphere is doubled, its volume scales by eight, which is two (the ratio of the new to the old radius) to the power of three (the dimension that the sphere resides in). But if a fractal's one-dimensional lengths are all doubled, the spatial content of the fractal scales by a power that is not necessarily an integer. This power is called the fractal dimension of the fractal, and it usually exceeds the fractal's topological dimension.

Fractal (EP)

Fractal is a digital-only EP by Swedish metal band Skyfire. It was made available for digital download on 6 July 2009. The EP contains four songs, which were recorded between the release of Spectral in 2004 and their album Esoteric released in September 2009. The EP features the debut of two new members: guitarist Johan Reinholdz and Joakim Karlsson. It contains three tracks independent of the full-length and the self-titled track from their album. This track was previewed on their official MySpace page and was made available for download.

Fractal (video game)

Fractal (full title: Fractal: Make Blooms Not War) is a puzzle video game from Philadelphia-based studio Cipher Prime. The game involves pushing hexagonal fragments together to form large hexagons and chain reactions.

Fractal was first released by Cipher Prime via their website for $14.99 on May 26, 2010 for Mac and Windows PC's.

In January 2012 it was offered, along with Nuclear Dawn, Max & the Magic Marker, and Super Crossfire as part of the pay what you want Indie Royale New Year's Bundle.

In June 2013 it was offered along with Aquaria, Organ Trail, Stealth Bastard Deluxe, and Pulse as part of the Humble Bundle with Android 6.

Gameplay

Fractal's gameplay revolves around pushing hexagons into seven-hexagon clusters, or "blooms", which earn the player points.Fractal features three gameplay modes, campaign, arcade, and puzzle. In campaign mode, the player progresses by earning enough points to clear each level. Over the course of the thirty-level campaign, the player will encounter different kinds of power-up hexagons with special abilities (hexagons that cause explosions, or that destroy all adjacent hexagons) that help the player earn points. In arcade mode, the player works toward setting a high score by surviving for as long as possible. In the fifty-level puzzle mode, the player is tasked with completing objectives in a limited number of moves. Each series of challenges in puzzle mode (Koch, Menger, Sierpinski, Julia, Mandelbrot, and Dragon) is named after a different fractal set.
