Satisfaction (Australian TV series)

Satisfaction is an Australian television drama series which screened on the subscription television channel Showcase. It also screens in the Republic of Ireland on free-to-air channel TV3 and its sister channel 3e, and in New Zealand on free-to-air channel TV2 respectively.

The series was filmed in Melbourne, and was created by writer/producer Roger Simpson with producer Andy Walker and executive producer Kim Vecera. It centers on the lives and loves of a group of women who are sex workers in a high class brothel.

Production for the third season began in June 2009 and commenced screening in December 2009.

On December 31, 2010, it was revealed by TV Tonight that Satisfaction was officially cancelled, and that season 3 was the last season in production.

Synopsis

Satisfaction is set in and around '232', an up-market city brothel. The show is centered on five high class escorts and their manager as they juggle the pressures of their private lives with their profession. Chloe (Diana Glenn) tells her 14-year-old daughter that she works in a casino, but realises that she will fairly soon learn the truth. Mel (Madeleine West) is being pursued by Nick (Robert Mammone), the owner of '232', whose daughter, Natalie (Kestie Morassi), is the manager. Tippi (Bojana Novakovic), a beautiful and vivacious young blonde, is taking classes in creative writing. Heather (Peta Sergeant), a dominatrix, is a lesbian whose partner, Ally, is desperate to have a baby. And Lauren (Alison Whyte), an older woman who works as receptionist, is toying with the idea of moving away from the desk and becoming a sex worker.

(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction

"(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" is a song by the English rock band The Rolling Stones, released in 1965. It was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and produced by Andrew Loog Oldham. Richards' three-note guitar riff‍—‌intended to be replaced by horns‍—‌opens and drives the song. The lyrics refer to sexual frustration and commercialism.

The song was first released as a single in the United States in June 1965 and was also featured on the American version of the Rolling Stones' fourth studio album, Out of Our Heads, released that July. "Satisfaction" was a hit, giving the Stones their first number one in the US. In the UK, the song initially was played only on pirate radio stations, because its lyrics were considered too sexually suggestive. It later became the Rolling Stones' fourth number one in the United Kingdom.

The song is considered the greatest song the band ever recorded. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine placed "Satisfaction" in the second spot on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". The song was added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress in 2006.

Satisfaction (Benny Benassi song)

"Satisfaction" is a song by Italian DJ Benny Benassi. It was released in Italy in June 2002 as the lead single from his album Hypnotica. Using MacinTalk, the song's vocals consist of two speech synthesizers, one male and one female, repeatedly saying "Push me and then just touch me 'til I can get my satisfaction". The track was Benassi's debut single and most successful song, peaking at number 2 in the United Kingdom. It was also used in a TV commercial for an Australian beer, and Wendy's hamburgers. It appears in the film White Chicks and the video games Just Dance 2, Dance Central, DJ Hero, and Saints Row: The Third as well as in the Beavis and Butt-head episode "Drones". As of August 2014, it was the 54th best-selling single of the 21st century in France, with 382,000 units sold. Satisfaction is considered to be the forerunner of electro-house which brought the genre into the mainstream.

Malice is a 1993 American psychological thriller film directed by Harold Becker. The screenplay by Aaron Sorkin and Scott Frank is based on a story by Jonas McCord. It stars Alec Baldwin, Nicole Kidman, Bill Pullman, Anne Bancroft and George C. Scott.

Plot

Andy (Bill Pullman) and Tracy Safian (Nicole Kidman) are a newlywed couple living in a Victorian house that they are restoring in Western Massachusetts. He is an Associate Dean at a local college, while his wife teaches art to children. When a student is attacked and seriously wounded by a serial rapist, Dr. Jed Hill (Alec Baldwin), a brilliant surgeon who has recently joined the staff of the area hospital operates and saves her life. Money is tight, so Andy invites him to rent the third floor of his home with Tracy in order to finance the new plumbing. With his propensity to bring home sexual partners and to party late into the night, Jed quickly proves himself to be a less-than-ideal tenant.

When Paula Bell (Gwyneth Paltrow), one of Andy's students, is attacked and killed by the serial rapist, Andy is the one to find her body, prompting police Detective Dana Harris (Bebe Neuwirth) to view him as a possible suspect. Harris asks Andy to come to the police station and submit a semen sample to clear his name. While at the police station, Andy learns that Tracy has been hospitalized and is being operated on by Jed. In removing one of Tracy's ovaries, which has ruptured due to a cyst, Jed discovers Tracy is pregnant, but the stress of the procedure causes the fetus to abort.

Jerry Tuite

Michael Jerome "Jerry" Tuite (December 27, 1966 – December 6, 2003) was an American professional wrestler. He was best known for his appearances with World Championship Wrestling from 1999 to 2001 under the ring names The Wall and Sgt. A.W.O.L., as well as his appearances with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2002 and 2003 as Malice.

Early career (1994-1999)

Born in Ocean Grove, New Jersey, Tuite broke into the wrestling business in 1994 after learning the ropes under veteran Mike Sharpe at his training school in New Jersey. Tuite trained at the WCW Power Plant before he wrestled full-time as The Wall in WCW. He was also a protégé of Bam Bam Bigelow.

World Championship Wrestling (1999-2001)

The Wall (1999-2000)

Tuite debuted in World Championship Wrestling in 1999 as a bodyguard for Berlyn, then later moved to the singles division. The Wall and Berlyn had a feud with Vampiro and Jerry Only of the Misfits. The feud led to WCW Mayhem where Berlyn and Vampiro fought in a chain match, which Berlyn lost after The Wall walked out.
