Saoner

Saoner is a town and tehsil headquarters in north part of Nagpur district in state of Maharashtra, India. The town is governed by Saoner municipal council. It is 36 kilometres (22 mi) from Nagpur city. It is well connected to Nagpur by road. Earlier Saoner was connected by narrow gauge railway which was disconnected since 01/12/2015 as broad gauge conversion work started between Nagpur and Chhindwara. It is expected to be finished by the end of 2018. Saoner is located on the bank of Kolar River.
