Sangam may refer to:
The Tamil Sangams or Cankams were assemblies of Tamil scholars and poets that, according to traditional Tamil accounts, occurred in the remote past. Scholars believe that these assemblies were originally known as kooṭam or gathering. which was also a name for Madurai. Three assemblies are described. The legend has it that the first two of which were held in cities since "taken by the sea", and the third of which was held in the present-day city of Madurai. The word sangam has its mention in the sense of an 'academy' in several Tamil literary works like Tevaram, Thiruvilayadal puranam, periyapuranam and Irayanar Ahaporul. Also legend has it that Nammazwar's Thiruvaimozhi was approved in an assembly of 300 poets.
The Sangam period extended from roughly 350 BC to 300 AD (early chola period before the interregnum), when the earliest extant works of Tamil literature were created (also known as Sangam literature). However, the name Sangam and the associated legends probably derive from a much later period. Whilst the accounts of first two Sangams are generally rejected as ahistorical, some modern scholars, such as Kamil Zvelebil, find a kernel of truth in them, suggesting that they may be based on one or more actual historical assemblies. Others reject the entire notion as infactual. Nevertheless, legends of the Sangams played a significant role in inspiring political, social, and literary movements in Tamil Nadu in the early 20th century.
Sangam was a Hindi language Indian soap opera that broadcast on one of the most popular Indian television channel, STAR Plus. Her parents are her support pillars who unconditionally under any circumstance stand by her and her dreams and she moves ahead to fulfill them. But life makes her put the interests of others before her own aspirations and she emerges heroic. Her father dies and the villain marries Ganga. The character's role is very subdued in the fact that the series focuses on her quite a lot and takes things from her point of view.Ganga forbids having pleasure with villain but he forcefully gets her in the bedroom along with his friends and he uses her for earning money..
Tie one on and on
Lines are drawn
Oh the road is long but I been gone
Even longer
Poison's only
Getting stronger
And it's lonely in the time of the monsters
Oh the night is coming down
The road just winds around
One night in town that's all we need
Take a bow, get on your knees
We tore down the world
Called it a war
A blood-sport for short
Call it what you will
But just lay still as the sound of the first assault cradles you to sleep
Sleep of the dammed, god damn it man
We play for keeps
Now is the time snake em till they die
Snarling then collision ever so proficient
Catering and tripping through the fires of attrition
Choke on, your last words
Broke down, in the dirt
Nobody move
Still everyone gets hurt
Well well well it seems I've struck a nerve
The dark horse rides again into oblivion
I'd rather meet the end dripping in sin
Smile on my face, bottle in hand
Staggering into the Promised Land
Come join me now....
We've fallen fast asleep at the wheel
Hell is hot on our heels
Damn
I'm not an animal
But you gone and forced my hand, to seek revenge
The best I can do, dull the pain for you
A poor man's saving grace, a bottle and a pill to chase
The sunset like John Wayne
