Sandugo is a Filipino superhero team created by Gener Pedrina. In most incarnations, its roster includes several Filipino characters mostly based on myths and thus many of them are easily recognizable to the viewing public.
The original, line-up is Sandata, Supremo, Diwata, and Sidapa. The team was assisted by Bernardo Karpio also known as the Maharlikan God Malyari, who became the first hero to be invited by the four founders. The team soon included Narra, Alamid, Lam-ang, Anino, Adarna and reservists Bato and Datu Pag-asa.
The team made its debut in Handicrapcomix #5 (1997). Although the team hasn't really been in publication, Sandugo had its small following due to its internet presence and commissioned fanart from fans and well-known Filipino artists. The team has been well received since inception. It was even included in the well known website internationalhero.co.uk that spotlights other countries characters aside from the big two mainstream publishers of the same genre.
Who'd ever thought that I would see this day
Where I would see my ghetto life fade away
'Cause I was lost and couldn't find a way
And now I look forward to everyday
(Welcome to my sunny day)
Block, don't stop, always stayed hot
No matter how the seasons got
I still remember when they took me away
Kept it on lock, then I got caught
I realized I had to stop
Then I took the time to explore a better way
Searched high and low, so close yet so far to go
I just know there's a sunny day
Who'd ever thought that I would see this day
Where I would see my ghetto life fade away
'Cause I was lost and couldn't find a way
And now I look forward to everyday
Welcome to my sunny day, my sunny day
Everyday a better day
Welcome to my sunny day, my sunny day
Everyday a better day
Welcome to my sunny day
Been a long day, on my way
To my holy place to pray
Give thanks for every blessing given to me
I know there's more to see, more to me
No more living in misery
'Cause this is how I visioned life to be
Searched high and low, so close yet so far to go
I just know there's a sunny day
Who'd ever thought that I would see this day
Where I would see my ghetto life fade away
'Cause I was lost and couldn't find a way
And now I look forward to every day
Welcome to my sunny day, my sunny day
Everyday a better day
Welcome to my sunny day, my sunny day
Everyday a better day
