San Vito Chietino is a town and comune in the province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region of central Italy.

The town is bordered by Frisa, Lanciano, Ortona, Rocca San Giovanni, Treglio and Fossacesia.
Economy [link]
The town is home to the "La Costa dei Trabocchi". Trabocchi are giant wooden platforms built since 1400, in the middle of the sea. They can be seen from the town of Ortona to Fossacesia. For local fisherman this was one of the method to fish abundant catch for the residents.
Famous residents [link]
- Gabriele D'Annunzio, a famous poet, lived in the town in 1900.
- Stanislao Gastaldon (1861–1939), the composer of "Musica Proibita", spent his early childhood in San Vito Chietino.[2]

San Vito
San Vito, Santu Bidu (Saint Vitus) in the Sardinian language, is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cagliari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 45 km (28 mi) northeast of Cagliari.
San Vito borders the following municipalities: Burcei, Castiadas, Muravera, Sinnai, Villaputzu, Villasalto.
It is the birthplace of launeddas player Luigi Lai.

San Vito (Spanish pronunciation: [san bito]), originally named San Vito de Java, is the capital of the Coto Brus district of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. It is located about 271 km southeast of the capital San José, and close to the Panama border.
The city is located on a high plateau with very irregular topography, at an altitude of 996 metres above sea level in the foothills of the Talamanca Mountain Range. The narrow and fast-flowing Java River traverses the outskirts of San Vito from northeast to southeast.
San Vito was founded in 1952, since when it has become an important centre in Costa Rica’s Brunca region.
The area of the district is 142,37 km², with an estimated population of 14,839 inhabitants as of 2011. Of these, around 5,000 live in the city.
History
San Vito de Java was the result of a process of foreign agricultural colonisation organised by the state of Costa Rica. Its two goals were to populate the country with foreign settlers, and to establish settlements in outlying areas. San Vito was founded by settlers from Europe, in particular Italy.
