Samugheo (Sardinian: Samugheu) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Oristano in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 80 km north of Cagliari and about 30 km east of Oristano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,429 and an area of 81.2 km².^[1]

Samugheo borders the following municipalities: Allai, Asuni, Atzara, Busachi, Laconi, Meana Sardo, Ortueri, Ruinas, Sorgono.
