SLC25A10

Mitochondrial dicarboxylate carrier is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC25A10 gene.

The dicarboxylate carrier catalyzes the transport of dicarboxylates such as malate and succinate across the mitochondrial membrane in exchange for phosphate, sulfate, and thiosulfate, thus supplying substrates for the Krebs cycle, gluconeogenesis, urea synthesis, and sulfur metabolism.[supplied by OMIM]
