KF Tirana is an Albanian football club based in the country's capital city, Tirana. The men's football club is part of the multi-disciplinary sports club SK Tirana, and is the most successful in Albania, having won 49 recognized major trophies. They play their home games at the Qemal Stafa stadium and the Selman Stërmasi Stadium in Tirana and they compete in Albania's highest tier of football, the Albanian Superliga.
The club was founded on 15 August 1920 as Shoqata Sportive Agimi, which translates to the Agimi Sports Association, and they have since participated in all the top tier national championships ever held in Albania, making KF Tirana the only club in Albania to have never been relegated. They have competed under the name of SK Tirana between 1927 and 1947, when they the communist regime forcibly renamed the club 17 Nëntori Tirana, Puna Tirana and KS 17 Nëntori. In 1991 KF Tirana retook its pre-1947 name and was divided into two branches, the multi disciplinary SK Tirana and the football branch of KF Tirana.
KV Tirana (Klubi i Volejbollit Tirana) are the men's and women's volleyball branches of multiple sport club SK Tirana, a major sports club in Tirana, Albania. KV Tirana volleyball men's and women's team are amongst the successful and historical squads in Albania.
On August 16, 1920, the patriot P. Nika altogether with gentlemen A. Erebara, P. Jakova, A. Hoxha, A. Koja, P. Berisha, A. Zajmi, H. Fortuzi, B. Pazari, L. Berisha, S. Frasheri, H. Alizoti, A. Gjitomi and V. Fekeci founded "Agimi Sports Association". In 1927 on the initiative of Mr S. Stermasi, Mr A. Erebara, Mr A. Zajmi and Mr A. Koja, "Agimi" changed its name to Sportklub Tirana (SK Tirana).
KV Tirana (men's) are 9 times Champions of Albania, and also 7 times winners of Albanian Cup, standing at top 4 clubs, along with Dinamo Tirana, Studenti and Partizani Tirana. SK Tirana have also taken part in European competitions, and in many friendly international tournaments, where occasionally have reached successes, like eliminating Lausanne of Switzerland in the 1st round of 1990–91 Cup Winners Cup winning in points difference, before being knocked out from Milberstofer München in the 2nd round losing 1-3 & 0-3. Tirana repeated successes also in 1995–96 and 1996–97 seasons when eliminated Buducnost Podgorica and OL Kakanj Bosnia. Latest seasons KV Tirana (Men's) team have not won trophies, however competing for trophies every season.
Tirana i/tᵻˈrɑːnə/ (Standard Albanian: Tiranë; regional Gheg Albanian: Tirona) is the capital and largest city of Albania.
Tirana became Albania’s capital city in 1920. The population of the city proper at the 2015 census was 610,070 and the municipality of Tirana, created in 2015, has a total population of 800,986 (2015 census).

The Municipality of Tirana is located at (41.33°N, 19.82°E) in Tirana County, about 32 kilometers (20 mi) inland. Tirana's average altitude is 110 meters (360 ft) above sea level and its highest point measures 1,828 m (5,997.38 ft) at Mali me Gropa. The city is mostly surrounded by hills, with Dajti Mountain on the east and a slight valley opening on the north-west overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance. The Tiranë river runs through the city, as does the Lanë stream.
The city has four artificial lakes: the Tirana Artificial Lake around which was built the Big Park, Paskuqani Lake, Farka Lake, Tufina Lake, and other smaller lakes or reservoirs.
