Singö

Singö Is an island located in the north of Stockholm County, close to the border of Uppsala County. The island has around 400 inhabitants and is around 25 km² big. Söderby, Backby, Tranvik, Ellan, Norrvreta and Boda are the villages located on Singö, the closest "big village" is however Grisslehamn on Väddö. In Söderby, there is a small grocery store open from 10:00-18:00 in the week and 10:00-15:00 on weekends and holidays.

LIFE Church UK

LIFE Church UK, formerly the Abundant Life Church, is a large Christian church established and primarily based in Bradford, in the north of England.

The church has additional facilities in Belfast, Leeds and Warsaw and describes itself as "one church, four cities". In 2003 it had an attendance of over 2,000 people; by 2006, the figure had climbed to 2,800.

History

LIFE Church has its roots in the Charismatic Restoration movement of Arthur Wallis. It was founded in 1976 by Bryn Jones, one of the early Restoration/British New Church leaders, by an amalgamation of three small Bradford churches: a charismatic Brethren Assembly based at the Bolton Woods Gospel Hall; an independent charismatic church made up mostly of former Baptists who had been unable to continue in their church because of their charismatic beliefs; and the New Covenant Church, a fellowship originally under the apostolic leadership of G. W. North.

In its early days it met in the Anglican Church House and so was known locally as Church House. Later known as Abundant Life Church for a number of years, in 2012 the name was shortened to LIFE Church, reflecting a move into a season of new leadership and direction.

Parokya ni Edgar

Parokya ni Edgar (English: Edgar's Parish) is a multi-award winning Filipino band formed in 1993. The band is famous for its original rock novelty songs and often satirical covers of popular songs both foreign and local. The band is adept at playing in various musical genres.

Parokya ni Edgar has been referred to by local media as "Pambansang Banda ng Pilipinas" (The National Band of the Philippines).

Despite having "Edgar" in the band's name, none of the members are named Edgar.

History

Formation and early years

Originally named Comic Relief, the band's initial members were a group of high school students composed of vocalists Chito Miranda, Jeric Estaco, and Vinci Montaner, along with guitarists Mikko Yap and Gab Chee Kee, all hailing from Ateneo de Manila University. They were regulars in after-school jam sessions, before performing an opening number for an Eraserheads concert. This served as their break in the music industry and prompted them to add a drummer and bassist – schoolmate Dindin Moreno and Buwi Meneses, respectively. Around the same time they changed the band's name to Parokya ni Edgar. After high school, Mikko and Jeric withdrew from the band to pursue other interests. Soon after, the remaining band members invited their friend Darius Semaña to take the role of lead guitar.

Sing (The Dresden Dolls song)

"Sing" is the first single by The Dresden Dolls duo, taken from the second studio album Yes, Virginia.... It was never released in shops, only as a promo for radio stations. The music video, directed by Michael Pope, prominently featured living statues and centered on the plotline of a video of the Dresden Dolls playing the song being sent to various people in different locations and occupations. It also featured the band performing on a stage.

There are two versions of the song, the version on the final album with the opening lyric "There is this thing that's like touching except you don't touch", and the original version available on promo copies of the album which is identical, save an alternate opening lyric, "There is this thing that's like fucking except you don't fuck."

"Sing" also hit many top 50 modern rock charts in April, 2006.

The song was covered by The Red Paintings on their Feed the Wolf EP (2007).
