The Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King (company designation S-61) is an American twin-engined anti-submarine warfare (ASW) helicopter designed and built by Sikorsky Aircraft. A landmark design, it was the world's first amphibious helicopter and one of the first ASW rotorcraft to use turboshaft engines.
Introduced in 1961, it served in the United States Navy as a key ASW and utility asset for several decades before being replaced by the non-amphibious Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk in the 1990s. The type also proved popular in civil service and with foreign military customers. As of 2015, many remain in service in nations around the world. The Sea King has been built under license by Agusta in Italy, Mitsubishi in Japan, and by Westland in the United Kingdom as the Westland Sea King. The major civil versions are the S-61L and S-61N.
During the Cold War, the Soviet Navy built a submarine fleet that at one point included more than 200 operational submarines. The US Navy countered by developing various anti-submarine warfare (ASW) capabilities, including the Sea King.
State Highway 3, also abbreviated as SH-3 or OK-3, is a highway maintained by the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Traveling diagonally through Oklahoma, from the Panhandle to the far southeastern corner of the state, SH-3 is the longest state highway in the Oklahoma road system, at a total length of 615.0 miles (989.7 km) via SH-3E (see below).
Highway 3 begins at the Colorado state line 19 mi (31 km) north of Boise City, Oklahoma. At this terminus, it is concurrent with US-287/US-385. It remains concurrent with the two U.S. Routes until reaching Boise City, where it encounters a traffic circle which contains five other highways. After the circle, US-385 splits off, and SH-3 overlaps US-287, US-56, US-64, and US-412, though US-56 and US-287 both split off within the next eight miles (13 km).
In Guymon, US-64 splits off. At Elmwood, US-270 joins US-412, coming from a concurrency with State Highway 23. SH-3 remains concurrent with US-270 through Watonga. In Seiling, US-183 leaves the concurrency but is quickly replaced by U.S. Highway 281. SH-33 joins the roadbed twenty miles (32 km) later.
SuperH (or SH) is a 32-bit reduced instruction set computing (RISC) instruction set architecture (ISA) developed by Hitachi and currently produced by Renesas. It is implemented by microcontrollers and microprocessors for embedded systems.
As of 2015, many of the original patents for the SuperH architecture are expiring and the SH2 CPU has been reimplemented as open source hardware under the name J2.
The SuperH processor core family was first developed by Hitachi in the early 1990s. Hitachi has developed a complete group of upward compatible instruction set CPU cores. The SH-1 and the SH-2 were used in the Sega Saturn and Sega 32X. These cores have 16-bit instructions for better code density than 32-bit instructions, which was a great benefit at the time, due to the high cost of main memory.
A few years later the SH-3 core was added to the SH CPU family; new features included another interrupt concept, a memory management unit (MMU) and a modified cache concept. The SH-3 core also got a DSP extension, then called SH-3-DSP. With extended data paths for efficient DSP processing, special accumulators and a dedicated MAC-type DSP engine, this core was unifying the DSP and the RISC processor world. A derivative was also used with the original SH-2 core.
Idaho State Highway 3 (SH-3) is a state highway in northern Idaho connecting US 12 near Spalding with I-90 near Rose Lake. It is 117.680 miles (189.388 km) long and runs north–south.
SH-3's southern terminus is near Arrow Gulch Creek Bridge to the east of Spalding, Idaho on US 12 on the Nez Perce Indian Reservation in Nez Perce County. It then heads generally northeast into Latah County, where it leaves the Nez Perce reservation, and continues through Juliaetta and Kendrick, where it intersects SH-99. It then continues generally north to Deary, where it overlaps SH-8. The overlapping highways continue east and northeast to Bovill, where they diverge.
SH-3 then continues generally north through Shoshone County, crossing the Saint Maries River, into Benewah County. It then turns generally northwest to Santa, where it intersects SH-6.
SH-3 then continues generally north to Saint Maries, where it intersects SH-5 before crossing the St. Joe River and entering the Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservation. It then continues generally northwest and north past a historical marker for Saint Joseph Indian Mission into Kootenai County.
At the bottom of the ocean lives a sea king, he was my king.
He was so proud, diamonds in his crown.
He was so proud, always so proud.
I'm going away, I can't stay and I pray he finds out someday...
Sea King, Sea king, can't you see that you're so silly?
Sea King, I know things, and without love you won't get far.
In aquatic towns below us, reigns a Sea King, he was my king.
Gold and glitter bubbling all around him, all around him, pearls in his hands.
I'm going away, I can't stay and I pray he finds out someday...
Sea King, Sea king, can't you see that you're so silly?
Sea King, I know things, and without love you won't get far.
