Station (New Zealand agriculture)

A station, in the context of New Zealand agriculture, is a large farm dedicated to the grazing of sheep and cattle. The use of the word for the farm or farm buildings date back to the mid-nineteenth century. The owner of a station is called a runholder.

Some of the stations in the South Island have been subject to the voluntary tenure review process. As part of this process the government has been buying out all or part of the leases. Poplars Station in the Lewis Pass area was purchased in part by the government in 2003. The Nature Heritage Fund was used to purchase 4000 ha for $1.89 million. Birchwood Station was bought in 2005 to form part of the Ahuriri Conservation ParkSt James Station was purchased by the Government in 2008.

Station (2014 film)

Station is a 2014 Hindi thriller film written and directed by Saad Khan and was produced by Sumit Ghosh Media, an independent company that promote talents from Bangalore. Sameer Kevin Roy, Vibhinta Verma, and Siddhanth Sundar star as the main protagonists of the film. Production began in November 2011, and was wrapped up in July 2012. The film went to post-production in March 2013, and was released on 28 March 2014 via PVR Cinemas and its arm PVR DIRECTOR'S RARE which works as a springboard to support the theatrical release of the critically acclaimed cinema and niche content from across the world. Official theatrical trailer was launched on 20 February 2014 at PVR Forum Mall, Bangalore in presence of Kannada film director Jacob Verghese, prominent Fashion Guru Prasad Bidapa along with Miss Earth Nicole Faria, and the cast and crew of the film. The film follows three psychotic assassins as they wait to finish a job at a waiting room on a deserted railway station.

ACTA2

Alpha-actin-2 also known as actin, aortic smooth muscle or alpha smooth muscle actin (α-SMA, SMactin, alpha-SM-actin, ASMA) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ACTA2 gene located on 10q22-q24.

Actin alpha 2, the human aortic smooth muscle actin gene, is one of six different actin isoforms which have been identified. Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in cell motility, structure and integrity. Alpha actins are a major constituent of the contractile apparatus.

Alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) is commonly used as a marker of myofibroblast formation (Nagamoto et al., 2000).

SMA*

SMA* or Simplified Memory Bounded A* is a shortest path algorithm based on the A* algorithm. The main advantage of SMA* is that it uses a bounded memory, while the A* algorithm might need exponential memory. All other characteristics of SMA* are inherited from A*.

Process

Like A*, it expands the most promising branches according to the heuristic. What sets SMA* apart is that it prunes nodes whose expansion has revealed less promising than expected. The approach allows the algorithm to explore branches and backtrack to explore other branches.

Expansion and pruning of nodes is driven by keeping two values of for every node. Node stores a value which estimates the cost of reaching the goal by taking a path through that node. The lower the value, the higher the priority. As in A* this value is initialized to , but will then be updated to reflect changes to this estimate when its children are expanded. A fully expanded node will have an value at least as high as that of its successors. In addition, the node stores the value of the best forgotten successor. This value is restored if the forgotten successor is revealed to be the most promising successor.
