Ryan Thomas

Ryan James Thomas (born 10 June 1984) is an English actor best known for playing the character Jason Grimshaw on ITV's Coronation Street.

Career

Thomas has been nominated for various "Sexiest Male"-type awards. He also won the award for Rear of the Year in 2008.

Besides playing Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street, Thomas has also taken part in many programmes related to the soap opera. In 2012, Thomas took part in a documentary called Corrie Goes to Kenya, alongside Brooke Vincent who plays Sophie Webster in the soap, Sue Cleaver, who plays his on-screen mother Eileen Grimshaw and Ben Price who plays Nick Tilsley. He said that his time in Kenya changed him as a person and made him realise how much he has in life. In the documentary he had to take part in the killing of a goat, which is seen as an honour in that country.

In 2013, Thomas filed for bankruptcy following an unpaid tax bill of £40,000.

Ryan Jared Thomas (born 20 December 1994, in Te Puke) is a New Zealand professional footballer who currently plays as a winger for PEC Zwolle in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Club career

On the 20th of April 2014, Ryan Thomas scored two goals as PEC Zwolle came from a goal behind to win the KNVB Cup 5-1 over favourites, AFC Ajax.

International career

Ryan made his international debut for New Zealand when he played in a 2-4 friendly loss to Japan in March, 2014. He then made his second appearance when he played in a friendly against South Africa on May 30, 2014.

Ryan Thomas (born March 20, 1989 in Claremont, California) is an American soccer player who most recently played for Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer.

Career

College and Amateur

Thomas played his college soccer career at Stanford University. Thomas had two goals and 12 assists in his four years with the Cardinal, helping them reach the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament as a junior in 2009. A three-time UYSA national champion with Arsenal FC where he was teammate of Héctor Jiménez, Thomas had three assists in each of his four years at Stanford and was named Second Team All-Pac-10 as a senior in 2010 after being an Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 honoree as a junior when he played in and started a career-high 20 games.

Professional

On January 18, 2011, Thomas was drafted in the first round (16th overall) in the 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft by Los Angeles Galaxy.

Los Angeles released Thomas on February 13, 2012.

Ryan Drew Thomas (born November 5, 1984) is an American mixed martial artist from Indianola, Illinois. He has a degree from Eastern Illinois University in elementary education. He also wrestled at Eastern Illinois University.

Mixed martial arts Career

Ryan started his career at middleweight (185 pounds), but dropped to welterweight (170 pounds) after only a few fights.

Ryan has fought for the Ultimate Fighting Championships, Bellator Fighting Championships, Courage Fighting Championships, Dragons Cage, Genesis MMA, Colosseum Combat, World Fighting Championships, and he also won the "Iowa Meanest Man Tournament" (a sixteen-man tournament) in Davenport, Iowa.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

On August 9, 2008, Thomas made his UFC debut at UFC 87 against Ben Saunders, losing via submission in round two.

His next fight was against TUF Alumni Matt Brown at UFC 91, again, losing via submission in round two. He was then cut from the promotion.

Bellator Fighting Championships

In April 2010, Thomas signed with upstart promotion Bellator Fighting Championships. He took part in the promotions Season Two Welterweight Tournament, losing to Ben Askren in a Quarterfinal bout via stoppage in the first round.
