2010 Russian First Division
The Russian First Division is the 18th season of Russia's second-tier football league since the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The season began on 27 March [2010].
Teams
As the previous year, 20 clubs participated [or will participate in the championship]. It features eleven clubs from Russian First Division 2009, two clubs relegated from Russian Premier League 2009, five zone winners from Russian Second Division 2009, one of the second-placed clubs from Russian Second Division 2009 and one of the third-placed clubs from Russian Second Division 2009.
Movement between Premier League and First Division
Anzhi Makhachkala as 2009 champions and Sibir Novosibirsk as runners-up have been promoted to the Premier League. They will be replaced by relegated teams Kuban Krasnodar and Khimki.
Movement between First Division and Second Division
Nosta Novotroitsk, Chita, Chernomorets Novorossiysk, Metallurg Lipetsk and MVD Rossii Moscow who placed in the last 5 places respectively in 2009 were relegated to the Russian Second Division.
2003 Russian First Division
The Russian First Division 2003 was the 12th edition of Russian First Division. There were 22 teams.

The Russian First Division 1998 was the seventh edition of the Russian First Division. The competition was renamed from Russian First League to Russian First Division this year.

First division (baseball)
First division is a term that has had various meanings, at various times, in the sport of baseball, but originally referred to the rankings within a league. Teams which ranked in the top half of the league standings table (e.g. the top 5 teams in a 10-team league) were said to have finished in the "first division", while teams in the bottom half of the standings were said to be in the "second division".
In the major leagues before 1969, players on teams finishing in the first division received monetary shares from the Players' Pool, which was funded by gate receipts from that year's World Series; specifically, prior to the aforementioned expansion, the team winning the World Series received 42% of this money, the team losing the World Series got 28%, with the second-, third- and fourth-place teams in each league being awarded 7½%, 5% and 2½% respectively. Concomitant with the expansion, 1% was taken from both of the World Series teams and given to each of the teams finishing in fifth place.
2013–14 Somali First Division
Somalia League is the top division of the Somali Football. The competitions was created in 1960. A total of 8 teams will contest the league in 2013-2014.
