Rugby League Live

Rugby League Live is a sports game based on Rugby league. It was released in Australia on September 2, New Zealand on August 27, and United Kingdom and France on November 5, 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The Microsoft Windows port of game was released in February 2011.

Development

The title was developed by Australian company Big Ant Studios and published in Australia by Tru Blu Entertainment. Developers of the preceding title Sidhe Interactive stated on their online forum that they supported the new developers by providing commentary, stadium and motion capture data (which may or may not have been used) as well as QA testing As with all preceding home console titles, former New Zealand Warrior captain Steve Price & St Helens RLFC Scrum-Half Kyle Eastmond feature on the covers, depending on which country the game is bought.

Rugby League Live 2

Rugby League Live 2 is a sports game in the Rugby League series of Rugby League video games. It was developed by Big Ant Studios for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It was released on 9 October 2012. Commentary was provided by Andrew Voss and Phil Gould. The cover features Benji Marshall, a former Wests Tigers player and now a St George Illawarra Dragons player.

Gameplay

A 10-year career mode will include the ability to hire a coaching staff, negotiate player contracts and set player training programs, and sign sponsors. You can create custom teams in Footy Factory and share them online.

Features

Grass wears away in areas of play. Players will accumulate mud on their bodies specifically where they the field. Players will also sweat based on their exertion level. It will include 34 stadiums from Australia, New Zealand, France and the United Kingdom.

Online

Competitive or co-operative multiplayer matches with up to eight players (four a side) online, an experience system to earn badges and also a leaderboard.

Rugby League Live 3

Rugby League Live 3 is a sports game in the Rugby League series of Rugby League video games. Rugby League Live 3 was released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Although originally announced for a 2nd Quarter 2015 release, publisher, Tru Blu Entertainment has since announced that the 2nd Quarter release would not be met.Big Ant Studios has said that when the game releases, it will be available Worldwide. The official trailer was released on 14 August along with a launch date of 10 September 2015, confirmed by Big Ant Studios and Sony Australia. This was later confirmed by Tru Blu Entertainment on 17 August. Tru Blu Entertainment announced that old generation platforms (PS3 and Xbox 360) will no longer be released on 10 September. The Steam [PC] version was released on 30 September 2015.

Be A Pro has been newly added with the ability to take a forward or a back through the ranks of a U20 team into a full professional squad. An improved instant replay system including super slow-mo and user defined camera placement has been included. Dynamic time of day lighting with full sun movement and weather system giving dusk to night progress and mid game rain.

Rugby league

Rugby league football, usually called rugby league, or simply league, is a full contact sport played by two teams of thirteen players on a rectangular field. One of the two codes of rugby football, it originated in England in 1895 as a split from the Rugby Football Union over the issue of payments to players. Its rules gradually changed with the purpose of producing a faster, more entertaining game for spectators. It has been cited as the toughest, most physically demanding of team sports.

In rugby league, points are scored by carrying the ball and touching it to the ground beyond the opposing team's goal line; this is called a try, and is the primary method of scoring. The opposing team attempts to stop the attacking side scoring points by tackling the player carrying the ball. In addition to tries, points can be scored by kicking goals. After each try, the scoring team gains a free kick to try at goal with a conversion for further points. Kicks at goal may also be awarded for penalties, and field goals can be attempted at any time.
