Vermont Route 14

Vermont Route 14 is a north–south state highway in northeastern Vermont, United States. It is 110.2 miles (177.3 km) long and extends from U.S. Route 4 and U.S. Route 5 in White River Junction to Vermont Route 100 in Newport. Between White River Junction and the city of Barre, the route parallels Interstate 89. Vermont Route 14 was originally designated in 1922 as part of the New England road marking system. Its north end was truncated in 1926 as a result of the designation of U.S. Route 2 but was extended north along an old alignment of Vermont Route 12 in the 1960s.

Missouri Route 89

Route 89 is a highway in central Missouri. Its northern terminus is at Route 100 in Chamois; its southern terminus is at Route 28 in Belle. A short spur of Highway 89 connects with east U.S. Route 50 east of Linn.

History

Route 89 had originally been part of Route 12B, a branch of Route 12, one of the original 1922 state highways.

Route 89 Spur is a 1.6-mile-long (2.6 km) highway that forms the eastern leg of a Y intersection between Route 89 and US 50 in Osage County. Southbound Route 89 travelers wishing to connect to eastbound US 50 can save nearly two miles (3.2 km) of travel by utilizing Route 89 Spur rather than making a direct connection between the two highways at Potts.

New York State Route 12B

New York State Route 12B (NY 12B) is a state highway in the central part of New York in the United States. NY 12B is a north–south highway connecting Oneida County in the north to Chenango County in the south, passing through Madison County in between. The southern terminus of NY 12B is at NY 12 in the village of Sherburne. The northern terminus is at NY 5 in the town of New Hartford. In Madison County, NY 12B directly abuts the campus of Colgate University in the village of Hamilton.

Sherburne to Madison

NY 12B begins at an intersection with NY 12 (North Main Street / Utica Road) in the village of Sherburne. From NY 12, NY 12B proceeds north on North Main Street, while NY 12 proceeds northeast on Utica Road. A mix of residences and businesses parallel NY 12B, which leaves the village for the town of Sherburne to the northwest. NY 12B parallels a railroad line to the north, passing Baldwin Station, where the railroad crosses. The route becomes rural, bending to the north through Sherburne and paralleling the Springfield River. The two-lane rural roadway continues north, crosses the county line into Madison County and entering the village of Earlville. In Earlville, NY 12B doubles as North Main Street, a two-lane residential street that crosses through.
