Rosé

A rosé (from French rosé; also known as rosado in Portugal and Spanish-speaking countries and rosato in Italy) is a type of wine that incorporates some of the color from the grape skins, but not enough to qualify it as a red wine. It may be the oldest known type of wine, as it is the most straightforward to make with the skin contact method. The pink color can range from a pale "onion"-skin orange to a vivid near-purple, depending on the varietals used and winemaking techniques. There are three major ways to produce rosé wine: skin contact, saignée and blending. Rosé wines can be made still, semi-sparkling or sparkling and with a wide range of sweetness levels from bone-dry Provençal rosé to sweet White Zinfandels and blushes. Rosé wines are made from a wide variety of grapes and can be found all around the globe.

When rosé wine is the primary product, it is produced with the skin contact method. Black-skinned grapes are crushed and the skins are allowed to remain in contact with the juice for a short period, typically one to three days. The must is then pressed, and the skins are discarded rather than left in contact throughout fermentation (as with red wine making). The longer that the skins are left in contact with the juice, the more intense the color of the final wine.

Rosà

Rosà is a town of 14.328 inhabitants in the province of Vicenza, Veneto, Italy. The name come from the roses which grew in great number along the irrigation channels in the area. The municipality has got 4 hamlets (Travettore, Sant'Anna, San Pietro, Cusinati). Rosà is officially European Town of Sport 2011.

History

In the hamlet of San Pietro some roman ashes has been found so we can suppose that there was a roman village in this area. During the Migration Period the region was invaded by Quadi, Marcomanni, Sarmatians, Alemanni, Visigoths, Svevi, Alani, Unni, Lombards, Franks and Hungarians. The town of Rosà born officially in 1533 during the domain of the Republic of Venice. After the napolionic invasion the whole region was sold to Austria-Hungary (with the neighboring Lombardy to form the Kingdom of Lombardy–Venetia) with which remained until 1866 when with the Third Italian War of Independence it became part of Italy. Rosà was very closed to the front during the First World War. After the Second World War Rosà became part of the Italian Republic.

Rosół

Rosół  listen  is a traditional Polish meat broth. The most popular variety is rosół z kury, or clear chicken soup. It is commonly served with fine noodles. A vegetarian version can be made, substituting meat with oil or butter.

It is one of the most popular Polish soups and is served on family dinners and also is a traditional soup for weddings. It is also said to be a great remedy if one catches a cold. The name "rosół" derives from a dish made of salted meat (old conservation method) cooked in water to make it more edible. Later fresh meat was used instead of salted. Much later that dish of cooked meat became a soup that we know today.

There are lots of types of rosół, as: Rosół Królewski (The royal rosół), made of three meats: beef or veal, white poultry (hen, turkey or chicken) and dark poultry as duck, goose (crob only!), just a couple of dried king boletes, one single cabbage leaf and variety of vegetables as parsley, celery, carrot, leek. The cooking must take at least six hours of sensitive boiling on small fire. At the end there must be added softly burnt onion.
