David Willis (cartoonist)

David M Willis (born April 3, 1979) is a web cartoonist currently living in Columbus, Ohio best known for his interconnected series of webcomics Roomies!, It's Walky!, Shortpacked!, and Dumbing of Age. He is known online in chatrooms and forums as "ItsWalky". KUTV in Salt Lake City calls him a satirist who is "a little bit edgy."

The shape-shifting robot franchise Transformers appears frequently in Willis's work. He was an administrator on Teletraan I, the Transformers Wiki from 2006 to 2008, when he facilitated a move from Wikia to its own site at tfwiki.net. Willis eventually became involved in official licensed Transformers artwork for Fun Publications' Transformers Collector's Club, particularly the regular club magazine feature Recordicons.

Previously featured at Keenspot with the comic of It's Walky! and the first months of Shortpacked!, Willis left to co-found Blank Label Comics in 2005. After Blank Label Comics was discontinued, he has continued his online presence at Shortpacked!, which has archives of this strip back to January 2005.

Roomies (TV series)

Roomies is an American sitcom that aired on NBC from March 19, 1987 to May 15, 1987. Reruns of the series later aired on Saturday morning.

Plot

The series centered on Nick Chase, a 42-year old former drill instructor who has retired from the US Marine Corps and now taking advantage of the GI Bill to attend Saginaw University. He gets assigned to room with Matthew Wiggins, 14-year old "boy genius", who has also enrolled at Saginaw to study marine biology. Nick does like this arrangement at first, but when he sees Matthew is serious about his studies, he appreciates avoiding the stereotypical rauchiness and zaniness associated with college students and sees the same discipline in Matthew that he saw in his recruits, and the two form a partnership, trying to help each other out. Among those shown were a trio of 'Singing Freshman' who sang through the hallways.

Cast
