Popup or pop-up could refer to:
Bumpy, also known as Pop-Up and Cool-Ball, is a 2D platforming video game created by Loriciels. It was released for the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC in 1989. In this game, the player controls a ball, trying to get it to the exit by bouncing it off walls and various types of platforms. Loriciels wanted a 16-bit game so they handed it over to Infogrames who made Pop-up in 1991. The loading screen and graphics changed but the music sound effects and gameplay remained the same.
Pop-up is the debut studio album by French electropop trio Yelle. It was released on 3 September 2007 by the EMI-owned label Source Etc. The album peaked at number sixty-one in France, where it was certified silver by the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP).
On 26 February 2008, Yelle performed the track "A cause des garçons" on the BBC Three talk show Lily Allen and Friends. They were featured as MTV's Artist of the Week for the week of 24–30 March 2008, appearing during adverts. The group also appeared twice on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly, performing "A cause des garçons" on 12 November 2008 and "Ce jeu" on 4 February 2009.
The Riot in Belgium remix of Yelle's single "A cause des garçons" was featured on the soundtrack of the 2007 Electronic Arts video game Need for Speed: ProStreet. EA Sports also included the remix in UEFA Euro 2008, the official video game of the UEFA Euro 2008 tournament.
"A cause des garçons" was used as the opening song for the Moschino Spring/Summer 2008 runway show. In 2008, it was also featured in an advert being broadcast in Quebec for Telus. Their single "Je veux te voir" was featured on the season four finale of HBO's Entourage on 2 September 2007, in the opening scene when the gang arrives in Cannes. "A cause des garçons" was also used in one of the Les Jeunes de Paris sketches on the 12 November 2011 episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by Emma Stone.
Nicole Safft (born 19 November 1975), professionally known as Rollergirl, is a German singer with a number of successful tracks such as "Dear Jessie" (a loose cover of a Madonna song) and "Luv U More", the latter being a cover of a song by Sunscreem.
The love for rollerskates developed early when working at a rollerskating rink. Safft was discovered by German producer Alex Christensen on Majorca and signed up for auditions. In 1999, Christensen produced the song "Dear Jessie" for Rollergirl, which was successful as the opening song at a techno-parade in the United Kingdom, where Safft continued to work using the stage name, 'Nicci Juice'. The pseudonym Rollergirl was taken from Heather Graham's role as a naive young porn starlet in the film Boogie Nights.
"Geisha Dreams" (2002) was Rollergirl's last release before she retired to focus on her private life, around Christensen and their son, born in 2003. Safft has also appeared with Daniel Hartwig as co-presenter of the German television channel RTL 2's The Dome and Megaman 2002.
Illuminate
Glow worms light the way
Into the strange
Violet dusk of cellophane
Popping up popping up popping up
Popping up popping up popping up
Fiber-optic display
Vines of Paper Mache
Ever growing in shape
Over peaks that radiate
Popping up popping up popping up
Popping up popping up popping up
Tripping on a swirl
It's a trap
Get out get out get out!
What's there in the distance?
Snap out of the paralysis
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Wonders to distract you
Keep you from the horizon
Uncover this twilight
Crackle appear
Velvet meadows near
Stepping into the queer
Bound for eclipse
Popping up popping up popping up
