"...on Television" or "...on TV", was a long-running late night television programme on ITV. The programme, which was made first by LWT and then Granada Productions, featured a number of clips from unusual or, (often unintentionally), amusing television programmes and commercials from around the world.
The show was first presented by TV critic and journalist Clive James between 1982 and 1988, then celebrity chef Keith Floyd in 1989, and finally Chris Tarrant from 1990 to 2006.
The show remained "Tarrant on TV" for 16 years.
The show first began in 1982, hosted by the Australian television critic and satirist Clive James. The series showed funny and bizarre clips from TV shows and adverts from around the world, most notably from the far eastern countries of Japan and Korea. The series popularised the Japanese show Endurance which followed numerous contestants as they underwent painful tasks around the world.
After James joined the BBC in 1988, celebrity chef Keith Floyd was brought in for a six-episode series in 1989 before Chris Tarrant took over in 1990.

Rock On !! is a 2008 Indian rock musical drama film written and directed by Abhishek Kapoor, produced by Farhan Akhtar, and with music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The film marks the successful Bollywood debut of Farhan Akhtar and Prachi Desai.
Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar, Luke Kenny, and Purab Kohli star as members of the Mumbai-based grunge rock band, "Magik" (formed in 1998) who reunite in 2008. The winner of seven Filmfare awards, Rock On was critically acclaimed but had an average performance at the box office. The cast of Rock On was featured on the cover of the September 2008 issue of Rolling Stone (India). Its screenplay has also been added to the Academy Film Archive.
Rock On begins in Mumbai, with the rock band Magik, in 1998. Joseph (Joe) Mascarhenas (Arjun Rampal) is the lead guitarist who feels necessity to prove his worth as a musician. Aditya Shroff (Farhan Akhtar) is the lead singer who rebelled against his well to-do family to play music. Rob Nancy (Luke Kenny) who plays keyboards and Kedar Zaveri a.k.a. Rock On!! is the soundtrack to the 2008 Hindi film of the same name directed by Abhishek Kapoor, starring Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar, Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny. The original score and songs were composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The songs' lyrics were written by Javed Akhtar.
The album was released on 7 July 2008. by Big Music Despite a cold reception from the critics, the album became a cult favourite selling over 120,000 copies in India.
The movie's songs were composed in five days. Since the movie is about a rock band, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy composed the music in a similar fashion, with the drums and bass set-up and played live to the recorder without any programming. All songs were mixed by Vijay Benegal.
"Pichle Saat Dinon Mein", a song about how one loses everything but cannot afford to lose love, was the first song composed, jammed on the guitar riff that Ehsaan Noorani came up with completed in about 20 minutes. This was followed by "Socha Hai" and the title track "Rock On!!". These were sung by Farhan Akhtar in his first singing role. "Yeh Tumhari Meri Baatein" is sung by Dominique Cerejo in an ambient genre. "Zehreelay", performed by Suraj Jagan, is hardcore metal, which is often a rarity in mainstream Bollywood soundtracks.
Rock On! is the 12th studio album by American rock singer Del Shannon, released posthumously in 1991. Shannon returned to the studio after a long hiatus in 1990, collaborating with Jeff Lynne of the Electric Light Orchestra, Mike Campbell, Tom Petty, other members of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Richard Greene. Shannon committed suicide on February 8, 1990, and the album was completed for release on October 1, 1991.

In your houses late at night
Sit down cosy, kill that light
Watch a movie, watch a fight
Feeling safe as well you might
When you dream in black and white
It can only happen
On TV, on TV
In the bathroom in your bed
Wall to wall we're in your head Finger on remote control
We are wired to your soul
We got idols we got dreams
It can only happen
On TV
On TV
On TV
We got idols we got dreams
Keep your eyes fixed on the screen
Squeeze your life there in between
On TV
On TV
On TV, TV, TV
Ecstasy for you and me
Here at home on your TV
TV TV TV
Turning up the volume 'cos it's blowing up your head
Look at your eyes they're going red
Turn it on!
Turn it off!
Turn it on!
