Robin Sachs

Robin David Sachs (5 February 1951 – 1 February 2013) was an English actor.

Personal life

Sachs was born in London to actors Leonard Sachs, who was born in South Africa, and Eleanor Summerfield. He was twice married: first to Welsh actress Siân Phillips (1979–1991) and, secondly, to Casey Defranco. Sachs was known for his role as sorcerer Ethan Rayne in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Death

Sachs died from a heart attack on 1 February 2013, shortly before his 62nd birthday. During the last weekend of February 2013 before his passing, a Mass Effect 3 multiplayer challenge was enacted, called "Operation Tribute".
