Over half of sewage plants ‘providing flawed data on river spills’

At least eight spills seem to have been missed in 2021 at the Itchen Bank sewage works, which discharges into a stretch of the River Leam in Warwickshire that Severn Trent Water has said it wants to be used for bathing.
