"Ride wit Me" is a song by American rapper Nelly. It was released in April 2001 as the third single from his debut studio album Country Grammar (2000). The song features City Spud.
"Ride wit Me" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Internationally, "Ride Wit Me" peaked within the top ten of the charts in Australia, Netherlands, Norway, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. The radio version of the song was featured on the 2001 compilation album Now That's What I Call Music! 7.
"Ride wit Me" features a sound similar to "Get Down on It" by Kool and the Gang. The song samples lines from the song "I Like It" by Debarge "I like the way you brush your hair, and I like those stylish clothes you wear".
The official remix was also produced by Jason "Jay E" Epperson and then placed in Nelly's remix album, "Da Derrty Versions: The Reinvention". It also features City Spud's verse from the original & John Mayer on the guitar. It samples Mayer's single, "No Such Thing".
VM&MMN CO-ED, CO-ED,
VM THOUGH YOUR BOOKS HAVE MADE YOU
SMART DEAR,
I'LL MAKE A BET YOU'LL FORGET THEM,
WHEN A MAN CLAIMS YOUR HEART,DEAR.
VM&MMN CO-ED, CO-ED,
THOUGH YOU DREAM OF FAME AND GLORY,
VM THERE IS NO FAME YOU CAN NAME DEAR,
TO COMPARE WITH LOVE'S STORY.
VM ALL OF THE GREATEST SAGES
THROUGH THE AGES,
WOULDN'T TEACH YOU.
WHAT YOU WILL SOON DISCOVER,
IN THE ARMS OF A LOVER.
VM CO-ED, MMN OH OH,
VM CO-ED, MMN OH OH,
VM THOUGH FOR STARS YOU MAY BE YEARNING
ONE OF THESE DAYS YOU'LL BE LEARNING
YOU'RE A WOMAN,
