Ricky Martin
Enrique Martín Morales (born December 24, 1971), commonly known as Ricky Martin, is a Puerto Rican-Spanish singer, actor, and author. Martin began his career at age twelve with the all-boy pop group Menudo. After five years with the group, he released several Spanish-language solo albums throughout the 1990s. He also acted on stage and on TV in Mexico, becoming a modest star in the country. In 1994 he starred on the American TV soap opera General Hospital, playing a Puerto Rican singer.
In late 1999, after releasing several albums in Spanish, Martin performed "The Cup of Life" at the 41st Grammy Awards show, which became a catalyst in bringing Latin pop to the forefront of the U.S. music scene. Following its success, Martin released "Livin' la Vida Loca" which helped him obtain enormous success worldwide and is generally seen as the song that began the Latin pop explosion of 1999 and made the transition easier for other Spanish-speaking artists to move into the English-speaking market. Since it's release, the song has sold over 8 million copies, making it one of the best selling singles of all time. His first English-language album (also titled Ricky Martin), has sold 22 million copies and is one of the best selling albums of all time. His other studio albums include: Me Amarás (1993), A Medio Vivir (1995), Vuelve (1998), Sound Loaded (2000), Almas del Silencio (2003), Life (2005), Música + Alma + Sexo (2011) and A Quien Quiera Escuchar (2015).

17 is a greatest hits album by Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin, released on CD and DVD by Sony BMG Norte in the United States and mostly Spanish-language countries on November 18, 2008. The CD includes seventeen songs from seventeen years of Martin's music career. It contains thirteen Spanish-language hits, two English-language songs and two Spanglish tracks. 17 doesn't include any new material, however some songs on the CD are featured in remixed versions. The DVD track listing varies from the CD and contains few other hits.
Chart performance
The album was not promoted by any single, and did not include any new recordings. It contains mostly Spanish-language songs.
17 peaked inside top ten in Argentina and Mexico, and reached number sixteen in Spain, number nineteen in Greece, and number twenty-one on the Top Latin Albums in the United States.

Ricky Martin is the fifth album by the Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin released on Columbia Records on May 11, 1999. The album is one of the best selling albums of all time and has sold 22 million copies, worldwide. This album is Martin's third which marketed in the United States and is his first album in English. Ricky Martin includes the singer’s first US number one hit "Livin' la Vida Loca."
Critical reception
In a contemporary review for The Village Voice, music critic Robert Christgau gave Ricky Martin a "C" and dismissed its "slicked-up rhythm workouts and romantic pap" as conventional tactics from "one more crappy pop star."Rolling Stone magazine's James Hunter gave it three out of five stars and felt it lacks the excitement of Martin's 1998 album Vuelve because of its remixes and Diane Warren-penned songs. However, he said that Martin's take on Latin pop is made interesting enough by highlights such as "Livin' la Vida Loca", "Shake Your Bon-Bon", and the "perfectly constructed ballad" sung with Madonna.

Ricky Martin Live
Ricky Martin Live is the ninth concert tour by Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin. It supported his compilation album, Greatest Hits: Souvenir Edition. The tour started in Newcastle on October 3, 2013 and continued across Australia for three weeks before coming to a close on October 20, 2013 in Melbourne. He continued throwing concerts in venues in the Americas in the later months, as well as participating in the Mawazine Festival in Rabat, Morocco.
Background and development
Between April and June 2013, Martin was one of the coaches on the second season of The Voice in Australia. In late May 2013, it was announced that he will tour Australia in October 2013, for the first time in over ten years. Martin will promote his already Gold-certified Greatest Hits: Souvenir Edition compilation and his new top-ten single "Come with Me". After originally announcing five concerts, four more dates were added later, including second concerts in Sydney Super Dome and Rod Laver Arena.
